Asked for restaurant recommendations for our group of 10 at our Hotel Spalentor. Muriel gave us 4 recommendations within a short walk of the old city gate. We chose Casanova. We were treated to a fabulous Italian meal. David, the host, owner?, brought us small pizzas as an amuse bouche. One of us has severe dietary restrictions and he was very accommodating. We had an excellent Sardinian wine (At least one of the staff was Sardinian). He brought the most beautiful antipasto plate I’ve seen in any Italian restaurant in the world. We were blown away by the amazing service, food, and atmosphere. If you eat anywhere in Basel, make...
