Café Luna — Restaurant in Basel

Disappointing service. I’ve visited the café multiple times with friends and family due to the location and the decent cappuccino they make. We’ve never caused trouble or disrespected the staff, on the contrary both my guests and I personally always have been polite.

Nonetheless, there’s a particular member of the staff that whenever happens to be present it’s always directed towards us with a hostile and unwelcoming behaviour, abrupt, rude and with an attitude of ready to kick us out the soonest possible.

Whatever stereotypes this staff person might believe about others, the workplace is not the place to advertise them. Especially when it’s a gastronomy environment where guests are visiting exactly to find a few moments of enjoyment from an otherwise busy and stressful day.

Very good coffee, strong enough for those who adore a cup of coffee as I do. Location is very good, lovely street and atmosphere, the weather was not good enough to enjoy the city atmosphere outside, we had the coffee indoor and I didn’t enjoy the modern style which has nothing to do with the city/street vibe! But overall it was fine. The bathroom was the cleanest one I’ve been to so far! The thing thats makes this place special is that it’s calm for working and soft music.
