Got here on reading all the great reviews but it's been a disaster of experience eating dinner here. Ordered a Veg Pakora, two vegetarian items Paneer masala and Aloo Gobi, One roti and a serve of plain rice. First off - the spice level throws me off a little bit, it's not healthy spice but very uncooked. My starter came very quick, this explains that it was pre made and they heated it up. Rest of the dishes took time, roti was reasonably good. The worst part was that there was a dead fly in the rice and my spouse found it after eating 3 spoons full. That turned our appetite upside down, we called the waiter who reluctantly recognized the fly and agreed to replace - the rice not the fly 😄. By then our toungues were burning with the spice from curries, so we ordered a boondi raitha to cool it down. But the boondi was stale and probably real old, it was tasting very greasy, the old oil smell. Now, coming off an American - this place over charges for a below ordinary indian experience and food quality. All the reviews don't tell the truth.
PS: the dish serving size are below the average size compared with many restaurants I...
Read moreA promised wheelchair accessible and friendly restaurant greeted us with the most annoying ignorant server I have ever seen. We had a reservation to my father's 60th birthday, for which we made sure the restaurant and its toilets were accessible with the wheelchair. When we confronted him, he handed me a wooden plank, with the intention that I will MacGuyver a wheelchair supporting ramp out of a simple board. In the same moment he told me that it can't take damage because he will need to replace it from his own salary, if the wooden plank broke. As a last resort he told us to sit outside on the street, whilst rain and unbearable 6°C outside. Instead of simply apologizing, he continued serving the other two guests in the room and left us there stunned. Discrimination of handicapped people is not something that should be ignored...
Read moreWe came here on someone's recommendation and we had a great experience. We stated with Pinot Grigio wine and Red Label whiskey. First we had Onion Pakora. Then in main course we had Palak Paneer and Dal Tadka with rice. The food was very delicious and it was served on hot plate which kept it warm till we finished. The major highlight of this restaurant is its location. It's right on the banks of Rhine River. We had river facing table and the view was amazing. Though the occupancy was low but, it was very clean and well maintained. The service was great. The owner, an elderly Sardarji himself took our order. We had some nice conversation with him. Our server was a young lady who was also a student. The ambiance was...
