BASEL SWITZERLAND - Northern India is magic, and so is the Indian Tandoori Palace ... the Bhindi Baji (#56) was on point, spicy to the max when I asked for “Indian Medium” spice level. For those who know, the “lady fingers” are like string beans with some bangin spicy work up. Mega. Next, the fish dish called “Tikka Grill Fish” (#30) was succulent ... yeah, I said that word right there, “succulent” and I didn’t know how to spell it until now. Mega.
Then the basics were on point, but I wouldn’t order the Tandoori Sampler again because I prefer the chicken that’s on the bone and not so much of the kebab. The yogurt was solid and not too watery, which is good.
My photos include their staff, who were in outer space but I wound up liking them a lot. They play some game with locking the door and then denying it but I don’t care cause I was banging on the window like ... “yo, hungry as a hostage” !!!
I will return next time in...

I sent a reminder: nothing! Sorry guys, stick to the restaurant and stop offering takeaways! You fail, you are rubbish at this! Considering that we paid in average 150-180 CHF for a takeaway when we ordered, we kept trying and hoping, but we always ended being let down! Now it’s enough and we will not order from or even go to them...

If you're from the UK, then you'll be very familiar with Indian food as every little village seems to have an Indian restaurant or take-away now and Chicken Tikka Masala has taken over from fish and chips as our national dish!
If you've entertained professional clients in top hotels and restaurants across the world then you'll also have some idea of what good tastes like.
I'm lucky to have done both. This restaurant serves up delicious Indian food. The tandoori dishes are especially good - but all is very good and tasty and I always found the service to be very good too.
If you're a Brit in Switzerland and you are looking for something that resembles the range and quality of a top UK Indian restaurant then this is your best bet in Basel, by far...
