Hello NavBharatam team, We are back home from our Europe trip and wanted to say a big thank you to you all for the great food and wonderful way in which you took care of us. The food was exceptional and the best south Indian food I have had outside Chennai. The payasam that was specially prepared for Independence day was outstanding and we were not even charged additionally for it. It felt like we had visited family. Chef Mani is a very talented cook and a very accommodating and generous person too. When we requested that the sambar vada be split, he gave generous portions for the two of us.

The personal touch also makes them stand apart. The chat with the owner felt like catching up with an old friend. The young student who received us and got us seated took such good care of us that we forgot we were at a restaurant. It will definitely be our home away from home in Interlaken during our next visit. Good luck...

We stumbled into this restaurant as we were searching for an authentic south Indian restaurant in Interlaken - we had tried two other places but this place was simply the best by far. We had poori and dosa - the taste was very authentic, even comparable to what you would get in Chennai or Coimbatore. The coconut chutney and sambar - two of the dishes we use to gauge the authenticity of any south Indian restaurant met the gold standard quite handsomely. The ambience is ordinary but the taste of the dishes and the extremely hospitable servers and cooks (Mani, Raju, Sudha) who came out to talk to us more than made up for it. I traveled across Europe last month, and during my time in Switzerland, I discovered a fantastic restaurant called Nav bhartham at Interlaken This place is owned by Tamil people and serves authentic, homemade South Indian food the kind that's hard to find outside of India. I went there for lunch, and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, full of traditional South Indian flavors, and very budget friendly. It truly felt like a taste of home.
