Burgermeister Luzern — Restaurant in Lucerne

It's a great spot for local Swiss beef burgers. This takeaway location happens to be at the Lucerne Train Station. We were looking for a quick bite to eat after a long day of touring this beautiful country. We initially thought about trying the Swiss Burger King, but decided to explore more options upstairs. Thank goodness we followed our instincts. This place is a gem in a very crowded station.

Don't let the long line fool you. It moves very quickly. Don't let the prices scare you. Let's just say it was at par (or maybe just a little below par) other places we visited throughout our trip. The service & quality exceeded our expectations. Honestly, it was a great fast food option with freshly made burgers and toppings.

My husband ordered the Cheese Burger. I just had to try the Trüffle Burger. The service was quick considering the long line of people. We received our burgers in a good amount of time. These are bigger than a Whopper. The buns are fresh & fluffy. The burger itself was thicker. I'm glad we didn't order a double. The overall taste was very comforting & satisfying. The trüfflemayo was perfect, and not overly truffly (if that's even a word to describe it). The toppings were fresh. What more can I say? We enjoyed it!

The ambiance? Well, it's a takeaway restaurant in a very busy train station. There are tables for eating your meal while standing. It's more for convenience. It's a place that we would visit again if ever in Lucerne. I'm glad...

Unbelievably horrible customer service. We ordered burgers two days in a row. The first day we received what we ordered (burgers with lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc). The next day we received plain burger patties in buns. No lettuce, tomato, etc. We ordered through Uber Eats and had asked for the same exact order as the day before. We called and the man I spoke to literally SCREAMED AT ME THE ENTIRE TIME saying that we said we didn't want anything on the burger. When I pointed out that we ordered the exact same thing two days in a row he said he knew but he decided to put everything on one day and nothing on the next day!!!!!!!! We spent $89 CHF on plain burger patties and buns and he knew it was wrong and refused to do anything about it. I don't think I have ever encountered a worse customer service situation. If he really thought it was wrong but saw we ordered the same thing two days in a row (and we didn't complain yesterday) then they could have messaged us on Uber Eats. He just tried to do everything possible to give...

Okay the food was fine. My order was put in at 20:20 with enough time in my opinion to make 2 burgers, fries and some nuggets, when your train is 20 mins away....you would think, right? ...... No no no, you possibly have the most unorganised and unhygienic staff in the place. Looks like they had a burger mix up, all arguing with each other, with what seemed to have caused the delay. I feel maybe they fried a few of their brain cells along the way. Spending over 60chf, I was truly disappointed with the service. One guy tried to apologize but simply terrible. I saw one guy dropping a burger on the surface, and then lifting it back, wiping hands on dirty aprons and continued to put gloves on burgers.
