Chapeau combines good coffee and tea with a beautiful setting and friendly service. The flavor and strength of the coffee are definitely above average for Luzern (it ain’t Italy!) and I love their ginger tea, which is based on an extract and not just a rinky-dink teabag floating in water with a slice of ginger (if you are lucky). Read moreThe drinks were nice, but the service was terrible. We asked for a pain au chocolat and a scone. After some minutes the waiter brought us the "scone" which was tiny, extremely dry and didn't resemble a scone at all. At this point she told us the pain au chocolat would take a few minutes.
After 25 minutes waiting, we had to give back the scone from how bad it was, to which the waiter said "yes they're not very good, we know" and we just left without the pain au chocolat as no one thought of telling us how long it would take when ordering.

Was having a bit of a rough day having just moved to Switzerland and still feeling out-of-place, not knowing anything, anyone or the local language yet. The 2 lovely young ladies working spoke English, shared the Wi-Fi password so I could connect with home and served my orders with a warm smile and affection.
