Nice place for casual dining

I visited this place for the New Year's Eve dinner. The menu which they offered was very good. They offered us a starter of Flammkuchen, followed by salad, soup, main course and desert. Personally I didn't like the fact that it was a lot of food, and the place didn't organize anything special to allow the guests to dance or to party for the celebration.

Seit Anfang 2025 bin ich mit einer Meetup-Gruppe regelmässig in der Simplon Bar und sehr begeistert. Das gesamte Team ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Stimmung im Team scheint mir sehr gut zu sein.

Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich mit gedämpftem Licht, edlen Farben (Dunkelbraun, Bronze, Rot als Kontrast).

Sehr empfehlen kann ich die Cocktails, bisher wurde ich noch nie enttäuscht. Meine Favoriten momentan: Pornstar Martini, Geissepeter, Espresso Martini. Alle frisch gemacht, je nachdem auch eine besondere Empfehlung an der Bar kein Thema - ich wurde hier schon mehrfach positiv überrascht und habe feine Cocktails oder Drinks bekommen, die nicht auf der Karte standen. Preise finde ich sehr fair für den Standort, 17 CHF direkt am Zürich HB.

Von der Speisekarte habe ich bisher nur den Ziegenkäse mit Salat getestet, hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen :)

Für die Meetup-Gruppe haben wir schon zahlreiche Reservationen gebucht, verschieben oder auch absagen müssen. Bisher jedes Mal ohne Probleme gelaufen und es macht mir immer wieder Freude, Zeit hier zu...

I don't know what the secret to their popcorn is, (must be love or something) but let me warn you: once you start eating it you CAN'T stop.
