JAI宅 義大利麵 新竹巨城 — Restaurant in Hsinchu

Food quality standard is subjective and I can only say relative to other similar restaurants nearby Big City, it falls short. My friend ordered their signature clam dish and I went with the chicken, the safer option. She felt the clams were small and dirty on the inside; some of them weren't even open. I probably should have chose a better restaurant to treat her to. The only good thing about the food was that it looked pretty so it's good for pictures, just like the rest of the place. However, so many people already have a picture posted with a giraffe; one could always find a more unique place. The drinks came in the cutest vessels. They were out of their famous earl grey so we ordered the matcha. Hopefully, I still provided the store with good food photos.

The place is quite dirty and old; floors, bathrooms, and bins for your bags. It gives me kids playground vibes. It could be a good place to bring kids and dogs or both. Unfortunately there are mosquitoes, although that goes well with the jungle theme.

Customer service: I came on a weekday for dinner and most the tables were filled. They are quite busy so sometimes they won't notice if you need any help. One server was too rushed and walked away when I was asking him a question. It doesn't bother me because they are just kids. However, I agree with a lot of reviews that say the 10% service fee might be taken for granted by the workers instead of motivating them since it's...

The White Sauce French Lemongrass Chicken Thigh Spaghetti was delicious, the sauce was nice and creamy, the consistency of the noodle was perfect. I really enjoyed it!

JAI Orange Sauce Mentaiko Chicken Skewers Spaghetti is my favorite menu. The chicken skewer was well-cooked, very tender, and tasty. The JAI sauce is really the best. I love it.

The Waterfall Original Tiramisu was beautiful. It also tasted good. It’s better to eat it while the cake is still cold.

Suazui Lemon Crispy Chicken The fried chicken was okay, it’s not the best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted, but it’s not bad.

The service was nice, the waitress helped me a lot in ordering because it was my first time visiting JAI. The vibe of the restaurant, the music, the interior were also great. Highly recommended!
