Please report this business. Terrible place to eat, don't go here. The reviews are a lie because they give out free desserts. Went here with my girlfriend for our final meal in Taipei and were utterly disappointed. There are so many places that are cheaper and better and not this overpriced rubbish. Staff members are rude and if you look at any of the reviews they're combative and unapologetic, trying to save themselves from the embarrassment of their awful establishment. The restaurant looks nice on the inside but the food is dry and unappetising, and we only realised that it only has good reviews because of the free dessert that you get which made it all taste that much worse. They also have a hidden 10% service charge. It's on the menu but it's very tiny in small print, only in Chinese, and they don't tell you about it until after you've eaten. I calculated our meal and the increase in price was ridiculous. It's overpriced and bland and put a sour end on our trip. If you go to Taiwan just avoid this place. The bad reviews really show this place for what it is - a shoddily run restaurant by even shoddier people who can only get good reviews by offering something free as opposed to cooking good quality, good value, food. I'll be telling everyone I know specifically about this place and specifically not to come here. I am livid that I didn't check the reviews beforehand, which is in part my fault, because the extra money that I spent here for an awful meal, could have been spent on a wonderful and long-lasting memory. I said earlier too but the staff are rude. Didn't like them. They kept coming over to take our plates while we were still eating from it. As soon as we finished a plate they came to clear it which felt overbearing and uncomfortable. Definitely not the norm here as other restaurants didn't do that. It felt as though they were constantly watching us and waiting for us to be done with the plates. I told them to stop offering free dessert and check their reviews because everything is fake. I hate this place. See the pictures I posted for the dessert stuff and service charge. Didn't feel like they deserved my money at the end and didn't want to pay it, I also saw the same staff member who collected our payment side-eye me as I was heading to the lift. Not very welcoming to foreigners and I'd have much rather had eaten convenience store food. Stick to anything else here. Outside of Donki there's a sweet guy who sells chicken for cheap, go there instead it's way nicer and genuinely one of the best things I ate on the trip. This place was the worst. Edit: I have reported this business because according to Google's review service, they prohibit restaurants leaving reviews in exchange for goods and services. I hope this place gets shut down đŸ‘đŸ» TL;DR: bad place, don't go, not worth your time or money and the only way they can get 5 star reviews is by offering free things.

WORST RESTAURANT IN TAIPEI! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS. We went to this restaurant to enjoy authentic Taiwanese dishes but ended up being so frustrated and sad. They have a staff who knows how to speak basic English but they sent the staff who can’t. We tried our best to communicate and even use translators like Google translate and Papago for the photos for us to have a SMOOTH TRANSACTION. We asked for the menu and they didn’t give all of it then when they knew that we will be paying via card they instantly showed the menu for 4 and 6 which we are asking if all the food in there is included and asking for more details as we also want to try their dimsum. Within seconds of conversation the lady showed the receipt and even said that the order is punched and our other members can’t order anymore which shocked us because we haven’t even ordered yet- TAKE NOTE: WE USED TRANSLATORS. She keep insisting that we said yes to that feast meal which costs around NTD 8,000 plus. We are in utter shock and dismayed with what happened. They said we can’t cancel the order even if we really didn’t order then the food came in- all of them are cold like it’s been cooked hours ago (we felt like it’s their way of scamming foreigners or their way of giving canceled orders to others? Not sure but this is the worst) we tried one bite because we are like “there’s nothing to do anyway” but the food is not even good. We kept on communicating showing how frustrated we were but they kept on insisting. They made our Taipei experience bad. The crew are even laughing when we ended up just leaving and not eating all the food because we are so frustrated and can’t eat anymore because they are looking at us and mocking us. We went to the counter to pay and one staff even laugh so hard and went to the other waiter told him something while pointing at our group. We went there with full respect, we paid the food that we didn’t eat nor order. This is the worst restaurant and make sure that if you will go in here you know what to say or that you are aware of the surroundings because they are 100% scammers if you are a foreigner. It’s the one at the second floor in the photo. WORST WORST WORST!!!!

First off, the decor is quite dated. It gives off an old-school vibe that might appeal to some for nostalgic reasons, but for others, it may feel more tired than charming. It definitely could use a refresh to match the expectations of today’s diners. Language may be a barrier here if you don’t speak Chinese. The service staff struggled with English throughout our visit, which led to some communication challenges. If you’re planning to dine here, I strongly recommend bringing a Chinese-speaking friend along to avoid any unnecessary confusion or missed orders. Now, onto the food. One major disappointment was the roast duck — it’s overpriced and doesn’t seem properly roasted. It lacked the crisp skin and deep flavour that make a good roast duck worth ordering. I would definitely give this a miss. The You Tiao Chang Fen (fried fritters wrapped in rice rolls) was one of the better dishes we tried. The fritters were crispy and worked well with the soft rice rolls, though the soy sauce that came with it was noticeably low quality and detracted from what could have been a much better dish. The Har Gao (prawn dumplings) was average — decent but not memorable, especially when compared to more refined dim sum establishments. The Shao Mai, unfortunately, was poorly done in my opinion. It lacked the bounce and flavour I expect from this staple dish. The steamed spare ribs were bland and underwhelming, with barely any flavour. It felt like the seasoning had been completely forgotten. Surprisingly, the standout for me was the Prawn Wrap with Almond Flakes. This was unique and enjoyable — the texture contrast between the crunchy almond flakes and juicy prawns was excellent, and it felt like one of the few creative and well-executed items on the menu. To go with my meal, I had the Chrysanthemum Pu Er tea, which I found to be above average. It had a nice balance of floral and earthy notes and paired well with the food.

I do not recommend this restaurant. We went there to have a dinner and enjoy their meal because it looks good in the photos outside. We can feel the vibe prior to walking in as the waiters and waitress are looking at us differently. When we asked for the menu they didn't give it right away, we ended up waiting. Our big sister made the communication and even used a phone to translate because we are foreigner but they keep on insisting what we will order and made us feel that we don't have any choice. We tried to let her know that we want to try others as well like chicken feet and xiao long bao but the waitress said we ordered already even if we haven't and we are just in the middle of the conversation. We tried to talk to someone to help us because we really haven't ordered yet and one of their team went there saying we can't cancel the order and keeps on insisting that we ordered already. The meal that they punched is around NTD 8-9,000 which is weird because we just want to have a proper birthday dinner with my mother and go around the Ximending market after but they made the experience worst and ruined the occassion. When we are trying to explain our side they serve the food which is ice cold by the way and doesn't taste good (not because the experience is bad but it really doesn't taste good). The guy who gave us an ice even looked at us in a bad way. We are just quiet, sitting and looking at the food. We can't do anything yet they didn't treat us nicely. The lady who said we order even if we didn't haven't even say sorry. Because of the eyes around us and how frustrated we were we ended up just leaving and paying but how the staff treat us didn't end there. One of their staff even gave a smirk at us which is we don't even think it's necessary. The experience is worst and the staff is much worst.
