I had a $698 meal set (actually $768) that included 11 kinds of beef, 6 kinds of seafood, 4 kinds of chicken and 12 kinds of pork; all of the meat in the set were all-you-can-eat. The salad bar, drink bar and custom sundae bar were also included in the set meal. Besides, you use the tablet to place your order for the meat, desserts and hot pot etc.
Sirloin was so juicy and tender and had always been my favourite part of beef.
When I was barbecuing Beef Short Plates, they went on great fire but fairly tasty and kinda greasy.
Special Long Beef Blade, which was special for its length at around 30 centimetres, was quite delicious with the mustard pepper, but in my opinion, it wasn’t their best meat.
Salted and Peppered Beef Chuck tasted so good and savoury even though there were a lot of bones to spit out.
Basa Fish with Shredded Ginger was of chewy and juicy texture.
The Brownie tasted great, soft and sweet but not the most delicious one.
Roasted Marshmallows were so gluey inside and a bit crispy on the roasted area, which tasted much better than it originally was.
Furthermore, the bread and the tortillas were also nicely made. There were a variety of options on the drink bar but my favourite drink was Lychee & Berry Smoothie. The soft serve was creamy, of high quality and got even more delicious with the toppings. However, I didn’t add any Gyudon Beef Onion Soup on the rice because I don’t like the onions.
In conclusion, the meat here were much quicker to be well-done compared to the last yakiniku I went to. The service was absolutely excellent. The first staff tried her hardest to introduce the categories of meat to me in English because there was no English menu. She was quite fluent in English and had an enthusiastic attitude. The other staff told me how to correctly roast the beef at first and even complimented me a lot about my proper barbecuing afterwards. Overall, no doubt it’s a 10 out of 10!
FYI, the limited times of dining and ordering are 120 minutes and 80 minutes. The 10% service charge...
Read moreI’ve been wanting to try Power of Meat for over three years, so finally getting the chance felt like a big deal and it ended up being a major disappointment.
The short ribs were mostly fat with barely any meat, and most of the other cuts weren’t much better. The ribeye was the only decent item we had. Even the chocolate soft serve tasted artificial.
To make things worse, my son wasn’t feeling well and barely touched his food, but we still had to pay full price for him despite the minimal experience.
I was honestly surprised by how many glowing reviews they have online, but it seems they offer something in return for a 5-star Google rating. That might explain the mismatch between expectation and reality.
There are so many better spots in the area for Japanese BBQ, this one’s...
Read moreGreat selection of beef and pork.
Service was quick, food came fast and empty plates were promptly cleared. Waiting staff was attentive but not intrusive.
They have some seafood options too, not a whole lot but the flavours were tasty.
The seasonings paired perfectly with the meat. The meat quality itself was really good.
Unlimited drinks and soft serve with toppings.
Honestly an amazing place to really indulge and fill up on protein, we will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to Taipei.
Reservations recommended as it gets busy, but we got lucky and managed to snag a spot without any...
