Pranchiwan Cafe — Restaurant in Ban Phan Thom Subdistrict

We were in Bangkok for only 5 days and visited Pranchiwan Cafe twice! Here are some highlights:

The service was excellent. The host was very friendly and extremely kind — we were jetlagged and a bit homesick but forgot about that while at the Cafe.

The food was wonderful, a great balance of Western Europe breakfast classics (croissants, omelettes, bacon and eggs etc.) and Thai staples with Korean and Japanese elements.

We had the former for breakfast on our first visit, and on our second we had rice with kimchi, cheese and fried egg (pictured) and minced pork omelette with rice (pictured). Delicious and exemplary to the 'anything for breakfast' ethos we experienced in Thailand.

The atmosphere was totally relaxed. It was clean, bright, and seemed a real reflection of personality between the Enfield motorbike displayed by the entrance, to the artwork and nic nacs adorning the walls, to the book shelf filled with Manga.

A must-visit place in Bangkok. You might skip one of the temples while you're visiting Bangkok but not this café!!!! Everything is perfect here. The coffee, the food, the atmosphere, the installation, the service... did I mention the cutest drawings in the world they give as a present to their clients? Oh my god I will definitely travel all the way again to this city to visit Pranchiwan and see Sasi and his drawings, accompanied by one of the best cappuccino I have...

Very lovely cafe with some cool retro gimmicks, like some arcade games and old mangas. The coffee roast was really deeply flavorful. I was surprised how well an espresso shot goes with passion fruit juice. The owner was really sweet and gave us some beautiful handdrawn cards.
