Pad Thai Khun Chu — Restaurant in Bang Rak Subdistrict

Cute little restaurant tucked away on a side road just outside the gates of Lebua State Tower. Great Thai food. Nice outdoor patio. Restaurant and patio overlook a little garden area decorated with tiny lights. I had the pineapple fried rice, which was delicious: salty cashews, sweet bits of pineapple, and tender rice and vegetables, that were perfectly seasoned and nicely spiced. It is served in a hollowed out pineapple core and comes with your choice of meat. We went for the Pad Thai, which was highly rated in reviews, but found so many amazing sounding dishes on the menu that neither of us ended up ordering the Pad Thai. While we enjoyed the food, the service was less than enjoyable. The younger male server got our order wrong and instead of trying to rectify it, he slammed the dish down and raised his voice at us, arguing about our order. When he brought the correct dish, instead of placing it on the table he shoved it in our faces so we had to take the dish from him. He was highly unprofessional and service was not commensurate with the type of establishment they strive for and the prices...

The food was nice but I was not blown away. I was very excited about the pad thai as everyone in hyping it in the reviews but it was actually very sweet for me. The pad kra pao was very delicious and also the appetizer prawn salad was very tasty but the deep fried mushroom lacked any kind of flavour. It was also overpriced in my opinion for the value we got. And the service is not as attentive as it should be for this price point. So I can see some room for...
