What a place. We booked a boat ride that took us to this restaurant. You can reach it by car also but taking a boat ride was nice. The restaurant has water access and it overlooks the river and it is a nice view. I liked the sunset view. It's beautiful and modern looking inside, with different rooms. I came on a tour and so the dishes were picked by the tour guide. I was told I was eating traditional Thai food. The food was delicious. I liked everything I tried. I really liked the pumpkin dessert. It was good and different. For me, this was one of the best restaurant experiences for me in Thailand. The service at excellent and friendly. Rarely did I have such poor service. Everything took ages, they barely came in to check if we needed anything and with each food order there was at least some ingredient no longer available, meaning we had to choose something else. Staff barely spoke English, so any question or remark out of the ordinary was very difficult. Our main courses got delivered with a lot of time in between, meaning that the first person was already done with eating while the last still had to get his dinner. Unacceptable for an upscale establishment like this. They also have almost no vegetarian options on the menu. For a restaurant/bar linked to such a fancy hotel, this was a baffling experience. Poor service, no smiles. I was their first lunch customer, I got the menu they knew I was there and was choosing my meal standing up for a few minutes, but they didn't offer me a table. Then a crowd of what appeared to be locals arrived and they were immediately escorted to a table and given a menu. I was ready to order but I had to ask them whether it was table service or not, and then they pointed for me to sit down but wouldn't take my order standing up. I didn't want to risk sitting down only for them to serve the larger group and have to wait a long time for my meal incase they prioritised the locals. So I left to find another...
