Khun Daeng has phenomenal Vietnamese pork noodle soup! I took a look at the menu and thought that I was supposed to order 1 or 2 of the assorted pork types. The waitress is like, "No, you get some of each in every bowl." I was intrigued. Then the bowl arrived and the aroma was ambrosia! I took a spoonful and the taste was even better than the aroma! This is the real deal! There were shreds of pork shoulder, pork sausage, pork balls, pressed pork & some porks I haven't been introduced to but was happy to meet! They even through in a quail egg to really challenge my chopsticks skills. Yeah, it sounds easy, but you go and try to eat a slippery quail egg by picking it up with chopsticks... I have been eating bowls of soup all over the world and this bowl is in the top 3 I have ever had, the flavors are layered and subtle but simply delicious. Try this place! Look for the green awning, I believe they are open 1100 to 2130, closed on Sundays. Or so their menu claims.

If I had 1million USD, I wish I could open this noodle shop at 10 different places in Korea, Seoul, including Gangnam area. The noodle is so special and delicious and rich and the soup....? Oh my god... you can never imagine how good it is until you have it in real. I had Original noodle with egg (10 baht only), and I felt like I've accidently and finally met my soul food at last. So happy and enjoyed the ambience and it's yummy tastes here. And the Pork Sausage salad is similar to Som Tam (Thai Papaya salad) but basically, the sausage is so nice and good, and all other vehetables are fresh as hell, so the taste can never be boring or bad. I like it very much. For some of tourtists, the taste could be a bit spicy, but you know, that's the nature of thai food, right? Haizzzzz.. I want that 1 million USD now!!! ♥️

The good: The place is a really popular place, is always full. The soups are super popular and have a really good name. They offer papaya salad, spring rolls, pork sausage and 2 sweet dishes in case you want dessert. The prices are affordable for the locals so it is needless to say that are really affordable. The summer rolls were nice and crispy. The soup is not my taste but it is definitely traditional. The not so good: mainly the meat in the soup is coming from pork sausage (like spam from different parts of pork) which is not my taste and besides the not payment wit by card allowed, that by now is normal for me here in Bangkok, my biggest problem was that I saw a gigantic rat just walking around where the bathroom is and where the beverages are stored, so afterwards I couldn’t eat my food in peace.

A good clean food at a very reasonable price. The place was jampacked with both Thais and foreigners. All 3 dishes we ordered came at the right temperature...hot. They served the deep fried spring rolls and steamed pork sausage first...and very fast. We had to wait quite long for the noodles because they received a lot of delivery and pick up orders as well. The noodle soup came steaming hot. Very good portion for 60 THB for the regular size. Fried spring rolls at 60 THB...and steamed pork sausage at THB 40. Good service...they're just very busy but they never left you out. If you happen to be around there...stop by. Better be early to beat lunch crowd.

If you haven’t already tasted these noodles this is your sign to do so. Run grab a big generous and deliciously peppered bowl at the terrasse of this joyful restaurant. The price are tremendously low, and the food is amazingly tasty. I have taken a normal bowl and there were a great amount of various ingredients, from mushrooms to eggs, spring onions and etc, you WILL be full. My only regret is having tasted it the night of my last day, which occurred to be the one we’re they ran out of fried spring rolls… the staff is adorable and kind and kept apologizing for it. When I come back to Bangkok I’ll definitely go straight to it !

So, my best combo is ธรรมดาไข่ตอก+เพิ่มหอมเจียว (normal noodle with egg and add red onion fried.) Then, i would have Vietnamese pork with skin as my side dish. Last, a grass jelly for dessert. - - - I have been doing these combo since 2014 and never regret it. Also, i remember having these at 40-50 baht in 2019 😂😂😂 Now they are 60-70 baht. - - - I just hope they renovated during covid where they didn’t get much customers and Korean didn’t come much but they didn’t. But yea, it’s still worth the wait and hype just to eat here.
