We had a late breakfast today. We ordered blinis with cottage cheese and ask to add banana. They were served nice warm, which was perfect, as our little child can eat it right away. Blinis were really tasty, soft and gentle, sour cream as it should be. Our little one ate it almost all alone, which is wow, it was big portion for him. Cottage cheese pancakes (syrniki) were also perfect - gentle, soft, vanilla sweet with thin crunchy crust. I personally was dreaming about pirozhki (backed stuffed bread), that's why we decided to go to Russian restaurant this morning. I ordered one pirozhok with chicken and green onion. The onion was normal white one, but it's fine. It was little amount of bread and really a lot of meat, so I was happy about it. But in the middle of it I tasted something strange and I discovered a mold on pirozhok. I showed it to the waiter, he said: aaaaa... , took the pirozhok and went to the kitchen. This dish was not in our final check in the end. That's it. Noone apologized, noone came to ask if everything was ok, noone said us goodbye in the end. I was sad... So actually the stuff made everything right technically, but I really missed some empathy ( "we really sorry about this situation" or just "sorry" for example) and some attention ( simple "goodbye" ). So all in all the restaurant was cozy, food came fast, the food was really tasty and I can definitely recommend it. I see, that the restaurant owner is very active here and see all reviews, therefore I am sure, that he will take actions and my situation will...

Actually the Thai food aren’t really authentic here but that’s what I liked them about. I enjoyed the food because they were not salty and still tasty. Felt a lot healthier than local Thai food (well tom yum actually could be better but still wasn’t bad as soup)
Also the owner, I forgot to ask his name but he is super friendly and trying to provide the best service that he can.
To the owner: One thing I would like to point out is the food panda dine-in coupon. I was supposed to be able to use it in the restaurant but I couldn’t (It doesn’t ask me to order from foodpanda it’s a redemption from the total bill)
I honestly felt like the restaurant knew about the deal but didn’t want to accept it so I felt uncomfortable that’s why I left without saying anything. But I just hope that you really didn’t know about it and if you did you can end the contract with foodpanda:)
I wanted to let you know that I pay for the foodpanda service and I wouldn’t even know about this restaurant if I didn’t see it on foodpanda. It’s not a big deal but I didn’t feel good because That situation made me feel like I did something wrong, in fact I didn’t.
I’m leaving 5 stars because I enjoyed the food regardless of discount or whatever and because I was fairly impressed with your passion about your business.
Thank you for reading :) and I hope you get...
Read moreAfter checking some of the good reviews this was 3rd Russian place we decided to visit in Karon, and it resulted in disappointing experience.
In fact we never had such a poorly made Russian food.
We ordered several dishes fried duck, pork skewers, filled eggplant, garden salat and vodkas (1600 THB).
Fried duck was clearly frozen and then deep fried with some of the sour cream to mask the lack of quality and freshness. We couldn't finish it as it didn't taste right.
Pork skewers had more vegetables than meat and the quality of pork below average - we had better skewers in the street food shops near Malina plaza 😏
Eggplant was super oily made with very low quality mince that had some uncooked carrot and cheesy topping, this had no flavour.
Российские братья, how can you stuff up something as simple as skewers and minced meat sauce? 🤔
Oh, and did I mentioned being ignored by Russian 'acting' manager that didn't even bother to ask us - if everything was ok?
One final food for thought after our 'fabulous' dinner at Chekoff is that we started to develop stomach cramps, so we had to quickly apply activated charcoal to prevent potential poisoning.
My suggestion is to avoid this joint by all means, as it really has...
