Saw sam sai Thai restaurant — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

TLDR: The food here is delicious and the service is incredibly hospitable.

It took a while to communicate since I don't speak Thai and I was trying to ask some questions but eventually I ordered a red curry dish off the menu, which is very clearly in English, and it was awesome. Not too spicey though so next time I will ask them to kick it up a notch.

I saw a review or two that said it was pricey but I was completely full for 200 Baht. Maybe just a local vs. a foreigner's perspective.

The restaurant itself is a pretty little quaint spot that is really easy to get to from Ekkamai/Thong Lor. Despite being close and sitting outside, I felt like I was sitting in a sanctuary because it was so relaxing and peaceful.

I'll be back, probably tomorrow, and will try something different. I'm just surprised the place wasn't full...

I was looking for a Thai dish that is a little hard to find for me . I got to this place and felt I was a little underdressed and maybe it’s a little expensive. They had the dish I was looking for (Kai yat sai) but I went and tried the fried rice in a pineapple . The prices were all good , around 150-250 baht . The fried rice pineapple with chicken tasted really good , you can taste the cashews and pineapple in every bite . Really nice .

The best pomelo-prawn salad I have had in ages. I would go back to Saw Sam just for the salad as pomelo salad is one of my favourite dishes.

They also have available Pad Thai wrapped in omelette, which I also found tasty.

The butterfly pea mocktail was refreshing.

The service was kind, caring, and genuine.
