AVOID AT ALL COST !!! TASTELESS FOOD !! TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!! Visited on 29/10/2022 We were keen to go to a buffet to celebrate a special occasion in and Zeta was one of the buffets that google recommended. Made a reservation through eatigo which is Zeta's/Holiday Inn reservation partner and we proceded on the said date for the dinner buffet. The first impression was not promising and we shuld have taken the cue and turned around, there were only 2 tables occupied and on closer inspection they were enjoying a a couple of drinks and not so much the food yet despite the buffet not looking too appealing we decided to go ahead. After helping ourselves and having a couple of bites there was no hiding the fact that it was well below standards. There wasn't one single thing a table of 4 of us could say was good. We started with Sushi which tasted like plastic, the ginger was old and re-served and the only thing from that counter which was palatable was the soy sauce. The rest of the meal was all down hill. The fresh seafood counter was a joke and stale the fish smelled like it was lying there for a week. The grill counter was pathetic as well, just raw lightly marinated meat was grilled and served and you could top it with some sauces which looked cold and stale, very unappetising. The pizza counter was serving pizzas which were cold and soggy and made on what appeared to be ready made bases. Terrible. The Pad Thai was terrible too and so was the fried rice which were the only 2 mains I served myself. The other mains looked and smelled anything but edible. No point wasting our time here we decided to call the meal off and asked to speak to the manager to complain about the food, shortly a lady appeared who told us she was very sorry and when we not only informed her but showed her that not one of us has been able to eat a single thing on this buffet. from what we gathered she mentioned something of a discount. However when the bill came we were shocked to see we had been asked to pay the price we had been quoted on Eatigo. Quite shocking. when we asked again why we had been charged the entire amount the same lady used the language barrier to as a way to evade the whole issue and not give us an explanation. we were left with no option but to pay for 4 full dinner buffets at full price after not having collectively consumed more than 200gm of food between us. This is a shame for the Holiday Inn Hotel and the entire group. Unbelievable that the flagship Bangkok Holiday Inn served such a shoddy and...
Read morewatch out for Thai style tourist gouging, over the years, Thailand has enjoyed a boom in tourism, largely due to friendly smiles and low prices. Today's Thailand is packed full of tourist rip offs starting with Taxis over charging, over priced "everything" that matches western prices but totally lacking in service or substance, and on top of that, the smile is gone. this is becoming a common theme that tourists observe. At this particular restaurant, the wait staff over charge without telling you ahead of time, they simply charge and expect you to pay, because you are a tourist. Image seeing one price on the menu and getting charged another when you get the bill, also a common occurrence now in Thailand. I know Holiday Inn isn't a Hilton or Marriott, but I still expect basic professionalism and courtesy, and not a Mafia style of doing business. file the complaint with Hotel Management, but not sure it'll do any good. maybe it's standard practice now in Thailand. The worst part is the dinnder buffet quality isn't great, liking selection and variety, but prices are still high 2300 baht without any discount, with those prices I can done at a 5.5 star Peninsula, Shangri-La with far superior Michelin star level ingredient and quality. Holiday Inn dines like a Burger King, I'm also a IHG member, and frequent Crown Plazas, Intercontinental and Regent, very...
Read moreAfter a long and demanding months, headed to a much-needed weekend escape at Zeta Café, Holiday Inn at Sukhumvit 22. This spot felt like a little happy place. The buffet offered an impressive mix—fresh seafood, crunchy salads, Japanese rolls, and hot, ready-to-serve dishes that made it easy to savour every bite at my own pace. The dessert selection didn’t disappoint either, especially the nut pie—seriously addictive.
A warm cup of tea or chocolate brought the whole experience together.
What made it extra special was the view. With the pool and the city stretching out beyond, it’s a dream setting for snapping photos or simply soaking in the atmosphere. Also, you can visit the EmSphere after lunch. What a beautiful day.
Booked the table online, and the welcome was as warm as the coffee. The staff was attentive and quick to clear dishes, letting me enjoy the moment without interruption.
All-in-all, you've got to visit...
