Had a hankering for an Italian food experience as it was my last night in Bangkok...sounds like a great title for a song. Anyway I was walking by the hotel and after having a chat with the Concierge I found my way to Bella Serra. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Sofitel hotel, which by the way is beautiful.
From my enter to my exit, everything was first class. The staff were accommodating and catered to my every whim, not that I make demands like a rock star, but my partner does roll her eyes at me on a regular basis. From the bread to the Cognac, everything was perfect with a minor glitch where my CC was declined...LOL. Resolved that issue and it was a security block due to me travelling so much, but the staff handled it like troopers and with great discretion.
Needed some fiber so I ordered the steamed broccoli and then for my main course the Beef Lasagna. OMG, the Lasagna was life changing. It is absolutely delicious and well worth making a trip for. One of the best I tried and I came to Bangkok from Italy, LOL.
The Vodka Martini was excellent as was the choice of wines by the glass. Not to belabour this review, but everything from my visit was top notch. Next time I am in Bangkok, this respite from the craziness of Sukhumvit would be my...
Read moreCame on Sunday 24 March with my girlfriend. We been to the rooftop Belga, and had a great experience. Bella Sera is a brand new restaurant at Sofitel. I really like the new look and it was really nice atmosphere.
The service was professional and friendly. I really appreciated the recommendations we received and were perfectly complemented with the food. It’s the first time I ever been asked if we wanted all food to come together or separately. That impressed me and showed focus on details. The chef Fabio came out and spoke with customers. Must say it was almost the same feeling as a local trattoria in Italy. The food was above my expectations. The salad was delicious and fresh. The carbonara was the best I had in Asia after living here for over 10 years. Really traditional style, with good creamy texture and salty taste from the ingredients. This is something the Europeans enjoy, but not for the Thai palate. I rarely order steak in Thailand, but I’m happy I did this time. Because the ribeye was next level of meat. We ended the meal with homemade almond crispy treats, espresso and pistachio ice cream. Will definitely come back and try the other food and meet the...
Read moreI recently dined at Bella Sera, an exceptional Italian restaurant located on the second floor. I almost missed it due to the stunning rooftop bar on the hotel’s upper level, but I'm so glad I didn’t!
The appetizers were generously portioned and incredibly delicious. The flavors and textures of the steak and pasta were outstanding, making each bite a delight. The desserts were not only tasty but also beautifully presented, adding a lovely touch to our meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant is enchanting, making it a perfect spot for couples to enjoy a romantic dinner together.
I would also like to commend the staff—Aey, Praew, Nut, and Jiew—who provided warm and attentive service. They took the time to introduce us to the menu and even helped us capture some great photos of our experience.
Overall, Bella Sera is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Italian cuisine in a...
