We’ve been to Doo Rae about four times now and always have a great experience. It’s inside Koreatown near Asok BTS—lots of Korean restaurants around, but this one’s our go-to. Cozy vibe, celeb photos on the walls, and the staff are quick and friendly. As soon as you sit down, they bring out loads of banchan—kimchi, pickled veggies, sprouts, and more. All refillable. The meat is good quality and they grill it for you at the table, which makes things easy. We love wrapping the beef in perilla leaves with a bit of kimchi. We’ve also tried the kimchi stew and bibimbap—both great, but honestly, the BBQ is more than enough. It's so filling! Prices are fair, and the service is fast. If you’re around Sukhumvit and in the mood for Korean BBQ, Doo Rae is definitely worth checking out. Solid food, chilled atmosphere, and always consistent. Haven't need a reservation when we've been, but you may need to book ahead on weekends. My YouTube: @BenCanTravel My Instagram: @BenCanTravel

Doorae Korean BBQ - A Must-Visit BBQ Spot in Bangkok Doorae has become one of my go-to places for Korean BBQ in Bangkok, and it never disappoints. The beef selection is outstanding—especially the marinated bulgogi, which is always flavorful and tender. Their variety of beef cuts also impresses, each one perfect for the grill. Whenever I’m here, I can’t resist ordering the beef tartare, which is a treat for anyone who enjoys a fresh and well-seasoned dish. It’s consistently delicious and pairs beautifully with the rest of the BBQ spread. A highlight at Doorae has to be the cold noodles, which are a perfect way to balance the richness of the BBQ. Today, I tried the black arrowroot noodles for the first time, and they were a delightful addition that made the meal feel complete. Doorae is a place I keep coming back to, whether it’s with friends or for a familiar favorite. The food is top-notch, and it’s always a great experience sharing it with others.

Arguably one of Bangkok’s most favorite and loved Korean BBQ restaurants (outside of the fancier ones at major hotels). Plus it is situated in Bangkok’s Little Korean Plaza on Sukhumvit 12, where you can get your other Korean/K-Pop/Bingsu/Grocery Shopping preferences satisfied. And the restaurant has been around for years, once started by a Korean restaurant entrepreneur who relocated to Thailand. She has maintained its standards of flavorful kimchis, marinated or salted meats, good vegetable offerings, Korean sauces, and side dishes over the years and her restaurant’s popularity and satisfied clients only grew. Expect a waiting time to get in at peak hours. Mid-priced and expect to spend about US$20-30/person depending on what you ordered. (Unlimited refill of your favorite kimchis, of course). But you will leave satisfied, full, and happy you have experienced a little bit of Korean cuisine in Little Korean in Bangkok. Highly recommended.

I've been to Doo Rae for years, but my lastest experience was such a disappointment. Normally, I go to the place with my husband and my kid, and always order the same three dishes. Yesterday, I brought my mom and my sister together. We were hungry, so I quickly ordered the same three dishes at first. I wanted my mom and my sis to have time to look thru the menu. Besides, I don't like food to get cold. We can order more while we eat. However, once the waitress took my order, she told me to order more dishes because there are five people but my order was the same amount as usual. I was in shocked! This is so rude! I realized that Doo Rae provides free side dishes. So if you guys are afraid that people eat more that they should, then charge them! This is your restaurant. You can sell what you want, but you don't need to be rude and assume that people are as bad as you. We finally ordered two more dishes, which we already planned to. I just wish that this restaurant would be more civilized and treating people with...
