Delicious Thai food Near Nana BTS (with a Quirky Waitlist)
Krua Khun Puk, tucked away near Nana BTS, is a great spot for an authentic Thai meal in a central location. Don't be fooled by the limited outdoor seating - there are tables inside too! Just be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially during peak hours.
Here's the thing: Krua Khun Puk has its own unique way of handling the waitlist. You'll get a handwritten number on a scrap of paper, which might get crossed out, updated, or even shuffled around a bit. It's all part of the charm (and maybe a little confusing!), but just hang close and watch the show.
Once you're seated, the delicious food takes center stage. The green curry fried rice and chicken basil rice are both must-tries, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. And don't miss the mango sticky rice from the stall outside - it's a classic Thai dessert done right.
Price-wise, Krua Khun Puk is very budget-friendly, making it a great option for all kinds of travellers.
Here's the summary:

Read moreOK- here is an updated review on Krua Khun PUK restaurant.July 2025 brings a whole new restaurant which has been revamped with expansion. It reveals a nice new feel and much larger than previous. On my 3visits in the first week l noticed the staff were all so happy and so attentive which was refreshing to see. The service was 5levels up from previous years and this is all the restaurant needed as the food has always been exceptional in every way. Prices didn’t change a lot even with inflation. Excellent effort to each and everyone here🙏🏻. #2 review 2years ago =This would be more stars if only the staff would lift their game. The food and prices are fantastic and the location is excellent with different areas of seating. Every time l come here the staff are very bland in attitude and sometimes just look at you even when you walk in and sit down. It can take them 20mins to bring you a menu and most of the time you have to ask for one. It’s not a big restaurant so there’s no excuse. We are customers ok, we are both doing each other a favour so wear a SMILE as that alone doesn’t cost you anything and goes a very long way towards your business. I must add that the man that is in charge of the noodle station on the side alley adjacent to the restaurant is always kind and smiling and he is by far the most busiest out of all the staff. Maybe he can educate the...
