07.06.2025 & 15.06.2025 Back to my favourite pizza place, twice a year when I am in Bangkok. One slice is enough, plus a cup of tea or cappuccino. I can't think of a better place for pizza than this place that is conveniently located below Asoke BTS and between the Sukhumvit MRT and Asoke BTS Station on the ground floor, beside the heavy traffic. You will not regret eating the pizza here, with more than 20 choices available.
06.12.2024 Still the same great taste and friendly staff. This trip, I brought my boy, who loves the pizza too! We will be eating there daily for breakfast and perhaps try their main course for dinner too. Sadly, no more Butterfly Pea Tea.
07.06.2024 I'm back again after 6 months, always in Jun and Dec when I could get away from work to travel. Butterfly Pea Tea 65baht. 2 different slices of pizza 60 baht and 160 baht. Love the same old taste. I eat here daily when I am in Bangkok for a week. It's beside Asoke BTS, super convenient. Lemongrass Pandan tea is 65baht.
Dec 2023 OMG, the Lago Verde V pizza (115 Baht) with thin crust and various vegetables tastes so absolutely good! It's worth every calorie! I also ordered the Butterfly Pea Flower hot tea with lemon (65 Baht) that tastes heavenly. The marmalade on the spinach and onion scrambled eggs dish (120 Baht) tastes soooo good, not too sweet and full of small cubes of orange. I have never tasted better orange marmalade than this. The spinach and onion scrambled eggs is average. I think the pizza is a great choice here. I will have pizza breakfast tomorrow again. Brunch today is 401.25 Baht after tax.
This restaurant looks so pretty. I feel like I'm eating in a garden without the heat in Bangkok. The wallpaper is...
Read moreunfortunately I have to correct my review, I waited about 5 visits made in the last 2 months because I wanted to be sure. Unfortunately I have to note a clear drop in the quality of the service inside the restaurant, no one greets you when you arrive or bye or thanks when you leave but this doesn't matter to me, what I have noticed instead is that the waitresses almost all seem pissed off or stressed, I have come to feel uncomfortable with the feeling of having caused a bother by choosing to eat there, I finish the spaghetti and ask for the menu because I wanted to order some food and instead I get the bill to pay and this has happened 2 times in a row, I order a bottle of Vermentino and they bring me a glass of wine without the bottle, and the worst thing is that all the waitresses are in a great hurry to clear the table and bring you the bill, even in the afternoon when there is little attendance and several tables are available there is always that strong feeling that if you have finished you have to leave. I'm sorry because I was happy but in the last two/three months this place has worsened significantly especially in the service. I also noticed a worsening of the food but in my opinion it depends on who is in the kitchen and cooking. Last month I ordered a seafood risotto and it was good, I came back a few days ago to eat the same risotto and it...
Read moreThis is my favourite casual Iitalian restaurant in Bangkok. Although it's located below Asoke Station and practically in front of Terminal 21 shopping mall, you actually have to carefully look for the entrance.
Take out pizza slices are wildly popular here, and are available without actually entering the restaurant proper.
In the evenings it's usually super crowded. The noise level can be high and you are elbow to elbow with strangers at the next table.
Still, it's a great way to meet people and I've always enjoyed a convivial atmosphere here.
The service has always been fast, friendly, and efficient. The young hostess who insists she is not related to the owners, has worked there for many years and speaks multiple languages.
On my most recent visit, I enjoyed a Caesar salad and an appetizer of fried calamari.
My companion ordered pasta with clams which unfortunately, tasted extremely lackluster. I cannot recommend that dish.
I opted for a glass of the house chianti, but wish I hadn't. I understand a chianti can be on the thin side, but this one wasn't even thin, or acidic. Forget about even medium-bodied, it simply was not enjoyable at all.
We topped off the dinner with a lovely affogato.
So this visit was far from perfect. But I will return because the positives greatly outweigh...
