Read moreI only took one picture because of how disappointing it is. We came with 3 people.
We've got the table in thr corner which the waitor came and provide us with many kind of menu. Please be mindful that not all menu are included in the buffet. Only the one in QR Code in it and the QR code have more variety of food than in the paper. We need to ask the waiter twice to get this info.
There will be an appetizer set that they will serve you right away when you sit at the table. You can not choose what can be in this set but you can return some of them if you don't want to eat it. We return a couple. Papaya salad in this set is very sweet in a bad way. Other than that the food in the set were okay.
We ordered the first round while waiting and eating the appetizer set. There were absolutely no food came and because we began to afraid that the cooking will be too long so we order the second round in advance. At this time we have wait around 20 mins already so we decided to follow up with the same waiter we ordered which he agreed to follow for us. After 10 mins, some of the food had arrived but all of them came from the second round of order not the first round. We followed up with the same waiter again and he has no clue at all that we ordered twice. He hasn't remembered a god damn thing.
At this point we are very disappointed right now so we walked to talk with the manager (the guy with white shirt) The manager went to talk with the same waiter and then they gathered in front of the food counter. There was no feedback at all from anyone and all the table that came after us already got their food. We can't wait any longer so we walk to get an update and they just said that they tried to find the paper of the first order right now. We decided to order the third round instead of wait for them to find it.
After that the food came within 5 mins but they still missing 1 or 2 food but we died of boredom to follow up with them. We tried another 2 ordered but still in the same situation. We even got the food we didn't ordered 2 times! Also we can sensed that both of them are trying to avoid to walk around our area.
Also, the food that served us after the appetizer are very salty.
This place is loss and so are we. So we decided to have the bill and leave the place. There is no formal apologize from anyone in the restaurant. Only saying "sorry for the delay" and then serve and leave
The most disappointing part is the manager that has absolutely no idea what to do. No feedback of solution to customer that we need to go and follow up instead. No apologize. Nothing. I believe other local restaurant with smaller size still do better than him
I'm seriously recommend everyone to try other restaurant instead. This isn't...
Read moreThong Kee has been around since 1875, should give you a clue as to its authenticity. At the entrance there is a warm welcome. I chose my seating to savour the atmosphere. Families, couples, mainly Chinese and Thai origin with the odd knowing farang. The place has a calm to it you only get in top end restaurants where the food is super delicious, because everyone is too busy eating to talk.
I was recommended the coconut juice, great choice. I ordered Peking duck, steamed rice and steamed bass with sweet and chilli garlic sauce. The timing of the dishes was on point. The care from the waiter attentive but not overly so. The food spoke for itself: freshly cooked, melt in your mouth comfort duck dish.
Brought back memories from home and OP is a long way from home.
The fish was freshly and perfectly cooked tender but not over cooked , dripping in a balanced sweet but no nonsense chilli infusion. Again melt in your mouth affair. All in all outstanding 😎 I order all AutoBots wherever you may be, to make your way to Thong...
