Lipsmackers — Restaurant in Ko Samui

AVOID THIS PLACE! These RUDE, AGRESSIVE and INADEQUATE people DOESN"T DESERVE all of these good reviews and YOUR MONEY! We parked our bike at the street that leads to the beach through this bar. All was OK. NO SIGNS or ALERTS that it is a private territory were there! NO GATES or SECURITY etc! The pass through the bar was completely FREE when we arrived. But when we tried to get back in a couple of hours spent on the beach smth crazy has happened. Woman at the bar started pushing and beating me, crying we can't go through and it is only for customers. WHAAAT?? I asked not to touch me but had been ignored. She proceeded to push and beat me. Her colleague has got up in front of my friend on the way with a broom (!) threatening to beat him. It's f*cking disrespect and inadequacy! It's not a private territory, the entry was not forbidden and we didn't violated any rule! The ridiculous thing that they don't understand English and even Thai police is not effective as they are corrupted and always stand on the side of Thai people. So you can not do anything. We've been visiting Lipsmakers beach bar for many years, every time we go to Samui. The bar's a reggae theme right on the beach just south of Baan Chaweng hotel where we normally stay. The bars run by a great bunch of guys that are always friendly and fun. You can get there easily from the Ark bar just a 5 minute walk south down the beach or you can come in off beach road through best bungalows. They always have good music often a live band at night. Also when we were last there Sept '22 they were offering a free BBQ on Friday nights, really good food. Great value cocktails and beer. The beach side lipsmackers bar is a simple and easy going place that is a fantastic place to chill for an afternoon. While the outside might seem like a rundown old shack, the kitchen inside is clean and produces good food for affordable prices, and the bar produces a good variety of perfect thirst quenching drinks, again for reasonable prices.
