This bar is a fantastic spot for a fun evening out – whether you’re a serious beer enthusiast or just want to enjoy some good drinks and live music. What really makes this place stand out is the huge selection of beers from all over the world, including many German classics and craft options from Europe, Asia, and beyond. The menu is diverse and well thought out, with something for every taste.
A highlight for us was the tasting set, where you can try five different beers of your choice for around 850 THB, including tax and service charge. It’s a great deal and a fun way to explore new flavors without having to commit to a full glass of each one.
The bar itself has a very cool and modern interior design, giving it a casual yet stylish vibe. When we visited, there was live music playing, which created a great atmosphere – energetic but still laid-back. There are three seating areas: one outdoor section, one indoor bar area, and a main indoor space where the live music is played. We didn’t sit outside, but inside, the music made it quite loud – in the bar area, you could still have a conversation, but it was on the louder side.
They also offer small snacks, like French fries and bar bites, which are perfect to share while drinking.
All in all, it’s a great place to spend an evening. Whether you’re there for the beer, the music, or just to hang out with friends, this bar is definitely worth a visit. I’d...
Read moreMy wife and I were staying in the Holiday Inn so this was a convenient place to eat and drink.
It's a bit hit and miss really. Some of the ales such as Vedett IPA & Full Moon Brewworks are excellent although short measures are common and my wife had a duff pint of Guinness which, whilst I appreciate it travels a long way to get here, is something that being keg you'd expect should be kept properly. Also, there's an art to pouring a correct pint of Guinness but this doesn't take place in Beer Republic.
Food is similarly inconsistent. The best dishes such as the BBQ Sausage Platter and the Pork Knuckle are excellent but the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Yam Talay were less so.
There's plenty of seating, much of it indoors, although if you crave air conditioned comfort in the evening and sit indoors, you'll have live music for company and like everything associated with Beer Republic, the good bands are very good but the poor are dismal.
Again, the service is variable. Sometimes, you'll finish a pint and it will take 5 minutes for a waiter/ress to appear and when they take your order another waitress will appear and ask you what you would like followed swiftly by a third member of staff asking the same questions. On other occasions the service can be excellent.
Beer Republic is right next to Chit Lom Skytrain Station so it's easy to get to if you're not staying in a...
Read moreGreat experience at Beer Republic from Irene (Baifern). The service from her was amazing from the second we stepped inside until the minute before we left. We never were left waiting and everything we asked for was done quickly and efficiently. She is amazing and really makes Beer Republic shine for its customer service. We will be repeat customers. The food while standard hotel prices for Bangkok is also delicious I can only speak to some of the appetizers and snacks were great. The beer list is extensive with a rotating happy hour of Buy x Get 1 free. The Leffe they had on special was great and works out to a fantastic price for import Belgium beer. The band and live music was so good and one of the better bands I’ve heard here. I can’t say enough, and everyone should hope to be served by Irene here as she makes great recommendations, is quick to serve and never leaves you waiting! It was a very busy weekend and we were never left feeling like we had to search out our servers. Thanks for all the amazing recommendations...
