Golden House — Hotel in Lumphini Subdistrict

Great value and location (next to chit lom bts) is what you can take from this friendly hotel.

Don't expect 5 star facilities for the price you are paying but you get 5 Star for it's location, proximity, nearby cafe and next-door excellent massage every night. Hotel room are definitely old and need much renovation. Otherwise it is average-good for short stay visitors.

Note: (a) Rooms are old and in need of renovation. Poor sound proofing and some noises at night are inevitable so light sleepers please take note.

(b) No toothbrush/toothpaste are provided. 2 mins away there is a 7-11 nearby if you need to buy any.

(c) Bed and pillow are not very comfortable. Definitely need alot of room upgrade if need to continue the hotel business. My heartfelt advice to the management. Such a great location and will be a great waste if guest can't enjoy basic comfort.

My humble conclusion: Expect the pros and cons for this budget hotel if you have no expectations and I only recommend it to guests ideally intend for short visit,

I chose to stay here because I was surprising my family in an expensive hotel close by. I thought this hotel was great with a very good location right by Chit Lom, and easy to walk to places. Must pay a deposit of 1000bht I extended my stay and needed to change rooms but the staff gave me a room opposite my original one.

Room 1: King Bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows, room was pretty quiet. Air conditioning was good, shower was great with shampoo and conditioner included.

Room 2: Twin beds (quite big) at the front on the hotel, closer to the road so a little bit noisier than room 1 but did not disturb my sleep. Air con didn’t seem as strong as room 1. shower was great. Room was a bit smelly but they’re trying by placing room fresheners in the room

Both rooms had a kettle but no tea or coffee. I travelled with tea so it was ok but perhaps they could provide a couple of tea and coffee sachets - there is the coffee shop downstairs so I guess this is why.
