I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jharokha by Indus, the newly opened Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of Erawan, Bangkok. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in the warm ambiance and exquisite decor, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey.
The menu boasts a tantalizing array of dishes, each crafted with precision and bursting with authentic Indian flavors. One standout dish was the Crab Pani Puri, a delightful fusion of tangy pani puri filled with succulent crab meat, creating a symphony of textures and tastes.
Another highlight was the Charcoal Fish, a true testament to the chef's mastery of spices and grilling techniques. The fish was perfectly charred on the outside, while remaining tender and juicy on the inside, leaving me craving for more.
For those seeking comfort food with a twist, the Kofta Saag is a must-try. The creamy spinach gravy enveloping the delicate koftas was rich in flavor and reminiscent of home-cooked meals, yet elevated to gourmet heights.
No Indian feast would be complete without seafood, and the Nawabi Jhinga certainly did not disappoint. Plump prawns marinated in a blend of royal spices, grilled to perfection.
To round off the meal, the Ghevar dessert was the perfect finale. This traditional Rajasthani sweet was reimagined with a modern twist.
Overall, my experience at Jharokha by Indus was nothing short of exceptional. With its impeccable service, inviting ambiance, and sensational flavors, it has undoubtedly earned its place as a culinary gem in the vibrant landscape of Bangkok's dining scene. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, Jharokha by Indus is a destination not...
Read moreI got sick with Palak kofta sabji, roti was served cold, when asked server had to take permission from manager and manager asked to reheat the roti and serve it again, for a fine dinning restaurant like that to serve cold and reheat is not cool ans super cheap they also charge 10% service fee happy to pay but not for this low level service, manager did offer a resolution to offer a warm naan on our next visit first lol ….. not recommended as energy ans food is low as per there price ans star ratings especially when you feel sick next day !
Reply to there response
Thanks for replying, but I must correct the record. All the rotis were served cold from the start — not just one. The kofta tasted old and spoiled, and my girlfriend actually became sick after the meal. When I raised these concerns, the server argued instead of acknowledging the issue and simply reheated the same food instead of preparing it fresh. The manager did nothing to resolve the situation and seemed to think reheating was an acceptable solution. This experience was completely unacceptable for a restaurant of your reputation, and I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously to prevent it from happening to others.”
“What made the experience worse was the attitude of the staff. Instead of accepting the feedback or offering a replacement, the server argued and insisted that reheating the same food was acceptable. The manager supported this approach instead of taking responsibility or ensuring a fresh meal was served. This showed a complete lack of care for customer well-being and basic...

The food is quite good but the portions are little unfair. Portions are extremely important considering when you want to enjoy the food. I have raised portion issues with the Owner before too when dining at Indus Restaurant. Adequate portions would be humbly welcome.
Perfect presentation. Every dish is quite good and besides the usual delicious Dal Makhani, Dahi ke Kebab was excellent. When you order Tandoori Roti (bread) instead of one big portion, they give you two small portions. Love the concept, nicely done. Sweet Lassi is not too sweet. I think you will like it. The Chutney Set with small pieces of naan (breads) with 3 chutneys of your choice, was unique and good too.
Great ambiance with a beautiful view. People are also very lovely, we know most of them since decades from Indus Restaurant.
If you consider only Fine Dinning then i would give this place a "Must Go". As of now that RangMahal is closed, i would say, Jharokha stands out in comparison to any other fine dining available in Bangkok with the food, quality & service they provide. Easily the best Fine Dining in Bangkok.
Not only that this restaurant belongs to a friend, but our main reason to come here was our Dearest Yash Ji. He has been like a family for years and aomeone close to my Dad's heart.
Dear Yash Ji, We enjoyed every bit of the time in Jharokha and you are the only reason that made it happen. We deeply appreciate the birthday cake and everyone's love and attention that was organized by you. We love you 🙏 God bless you Yash...
