LV The Place Bangkok is what happens when you take your drunk, chaotic friend who peaked in 2009, slap some glitter on them, and keep screaming “YAS QUEEN” until they believe they’re still hot. It’s a shrine to Louis Vuitton, by Louis Vuitton, for Louis Vuitton—basically the retail equivalent of kissing your own reflection in the mirror and calling it art. The whole place feels like they raided the back of a forgotten flagship store and tried to pass off leftover handbags and window displays as a cutting-edge exhibition.
The staff? Oh honey, they strut around like they are Mr. Louis Vuitton himself, resurrected and rebranded with a Thai accent and a side of judgment. There’s enough side-eye and posture correction to make you feel like you need to apologize for not arriving in head-to-toe monogram. The actual exhibit is… fine. Cool for about five minutes—snap a few pics, chuckle at the absurdity, and move on with your life. Unless, of course, you’re a full-blown fashion wannabe planning to spend an hour staging Vogue-ready selfies on every fake-gold corner, desperately hoping that some “luxury” will stick to you by osmosis.
Is it free? Yes. Is it worth a visit? Sure, if you’re already in the mall and need to escape the heat or the urge to buy another overpriced coffee. But don’t expect depth, soul, or anything resembling a meaningful cultural experience. It’s more like a glorified IG trap wrapped in monogram canvas and ego. Three stars for effort, air conditioning, and the...
Read moreI went to just opened LV place for museum and bigger LV store. When I went out of museum, assistant said that store is open until 8.30 pm. It was still 8.00 pm, so we went to the store and started to have a look inside and asked client advisor for exact model. Mr. Sahapoom Mayoonr (Tua) said that store is closed at 8.00 pm, we have to leave and can't buy anything today. So we asked to have a look if there a reason to come tomorrow and he said: "No, you have to leave right now." Store had thai customers, who were still trying on, taking photos in the store (🤦♀️), were given water, etc. I asked, why we have to leave, If these people are still here (as he said, they are waiting for check out), I told him that we can have a look at newest store while another customers are still there. He came only to us for unfriendly talk and was insisting for us to go out and not buy anything. After I asked what is the problem If we at least have a look for exact model while another customers are still here, he stand next to us with another staff worker and started to stare and discuss obviously. I live in Thailand and am a regular customer of LV and was even dressed in LV limited. Never experienced such a service in any Louis Vuitton store and humiliation, especially in such a beautiful new branch. (Racism or what else, I don't know). We went to Siam Paragon branch and had amazing service as always. Very unbelievably terrible experience. Museum is...
