Overall the food tasted good if a little boring, however I had some issues with a few things. With that said, service was pretty good, the front of house manager is doing a good job I think keeping standards high.
The prices are too high for what they are offering. 4 large Hokkaido scallops (around 100 grams) for 1200 baht is an extortionate food cost. Those scallops typically run 2,000thb per kg here in bangkok as a generous average from multiple suppliers I have worked with. That means they are likely running a sub 20 percent food cost which is more like pizza territory. Their beef suffers from this problem as well. āAustralian wagyuā with no marble score or farm listed on the menu does not inspire confidence.
They donāt know what they want to be, teppanyaki or fine dining, the dining room and prices suggest fine dining but the food quality does not match. Also a little strange to cook the fried rice after every other dish was served.
There is no show whatsoever, the chef was very sweet and nice but do not come here expecting spatula flipping, fire tricks etc. She did a very good job cooking to the requested temperature and had a very good personality but neither her nor any of the other chefs I observed were doing any entertaining. They can do it for influencers or staff on their Instagram feed but not for the paying customers apparently.
Drinks are hit or miss, my girlfriend had a very nice cocktail and my highball cocktail tasted empty with no flavor and little whisky, they were kind enough to remake it but it wasnāt improved the second time around.
On a Sunday evening at 7pm the dining room was mostly empty, maybe just an off night but I wonder if they need to re-evaluate some things about...

From the moment we walked in, the staffās friendliness stood out. Everyone greeted us with genuine smiles and warm hospitality, setting the tone for a relaxed yet upscale dining experience.
Our chef for the evening, Chef Keng, was truly a highlight. Though we didnāt share the same language fluently, he managed to communicate beautifully through his food, gestures, and a wonderful sense of humour. His effort to make us feel at easeāand laugh throughout the nightādid not go unnoticed.
The teppanyaki experience here isnāt just about food; itās also entertainment woven into the meal, all at a very reasonable price. Communication with the team was smooth and effortless, and for Marriott members, thereās the added bonus of earning Bonvoy points.
