Le Escargot Bistro in Bangkok is an absolute gem that delivers an exceptional dining experience. My colleagues and I visited for lunch, and from the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the exquisite design and comfortable seating. The ambiance perfectly blends elegance and comfort, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing meal.
The menu at Le Escargot Bistro is truly impressive, offering a diverse selection that caters to all tastes. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, guiding us through the menu and making excellent recommendations. Their knowledge and passion for the food and wine they serve were evident and greatly appreciated.
As a group of three chefs, we have high standards when it comes to food, and Le Escargot Bistro exceeded our expectations in every way. For starters, we enjoyed the prawn cocktail, frog legs, goat cheese salad, and crab mousse. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The prawn cocktail was fresh and succulent, the frog legs were cooked to perfection, the goat cheese salad was a delightful combination of textures and tastes, and the crab mousse was creamy and rich.
For our main course, we chose the famous lamb couscous and veal schnitzel. The lamb couscous was incredibly flavorful, with tender meat and perfectly cooked grains. The veal schnitzel was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired wonderfully with the accompanying sides. Both dishes were executed flawlessly and showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen.
Dessert was a true highlight, with an array of delectable options. We indulged in the profiteroles, apple tart, Linzer cake, and lemon sorbet. Each dessert was a masterpiece, with the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. The profiteroles were light and airy, the apple tart had a perfect flaky crust, the Linzer cake was rich and satisfying, and the lemon sorbet was refreshing and tangy.
The wine selection at Le Escargot Bistro is equally impressive, offering a range of choices to complement any dish. The staff’s recommendations enhanced our meal, adding to the overall exceptional experience.
In summary, Le Escargot Bistro is a must-visit for anyone seeking outstanding food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service in Bangkok. As chefs, we were thoroughly impressed and will undoubtedly return. Highly...
Read moreMy friend raved about the steak tartare here… so had to check it out when I visited Bangkok.
It’s a French bistro-ish restaurant. The atmosphere was quite pleasant with dim lighting, French music in the background, and aircon to cool down from the heat outside. Quick de-stress from the outside traffic and heat, and a quick transition to a nice welcoming atmosphere.
The interior is nice with potted palm, roses on the table, wall fresco and feels nice with dim lightings. Service staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient.
I had to try their escargot and steak tartare. There were 2 escargot in every small pot. With the standard order of 6, I ended up with 12 escargot….it was just nice. The dish was standard with the usual garlic butter. Order it if you like escargot.
Hand chopped steak tartare was good. The flavour was well balanced. The ingredients were hand chopped with the meat and the texture was good. It’s not too acidic, spicy nor salty. And the meat had some texture as it was hand chopped. One of the better ones I have tasted. The fries were very good as well.
Frog legs were a bit disappointing as they were dried out and overcooked.
Do give this little French bistro a try. Go for the atmosphere, and enjoy...
Read moreI come here for dinner at least once each time I am in Bangkok. I just arrived from a week in Paris and this was as delightful a meal as I had in the motherland. I ventured out onto the street after experiencing the earthquake on the 26th floor of the Conrad Bangkok, very scary, most places in the area were closed but L'Escargot Bistro was open for business! The duck breast with a 2016 Chateau d'Armailhac -- the wine still youthful but developing complexity from that great Bordeaux vintage -- was splendid. The creme brûlée is among the best I've ever had. The owner and staff are very friendly. A fun place, and the prices are very rational. It is basically across the street from the Conrad Bangkok hotel. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! I highly recommend this restaurant for a little taste of Paris in the great...
