I went there for Christmas dinner and I thought it was absolutely incredible. They had a 3 course dinner for 1800 THB, but in practice it was 5 courses with an extra 'snack' (which was an oyster!) and a small cheese board added and a glass of prosecco. The food was just amazing, super elegant mixture of tastes and textures super beautifully presented. The dinner was absolutely gorgeous, I've been raving about it ever since - oyster with fresh herbs with prosecco; clam ceviche with coconut milk/meat, roasted wallnut and pomegranate seeds. My main course was pork ribs, it was so tender, like a dream. I had poached pears in red wine on the bed of heavy cream and roasted pecans as a dessert. Even their house wine is amazing quality. The service is personal, fast and super attentive. At the end they gifted me a Christmas cocktail too. It was a really wonderful dinner and experience. The French lady - I assume the restaurant manager - was super lovely too! Absolutely worth every single penny. I'd recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly to everyone.
Christmas 2023: 2 out of 5 starts: returned for another Christmas dinner to run into a disappointment. Food was okay, just as expected, not as impressive as last year, but the atmosphere was nothing like last year. I was offered a seat either at the bar or outside. I chose a more manageable upstairs table, but with direct view of the toilets and the kitchen, still it was more manageable to eat than eating at the bar. My seating didn’t show great attention especially that this time I booked the table well in advance. So looking at people using the loo and listening to waiters running up and down the stairs and shouting in the kitchen was my main experience, plus they had this hideous loud funky music going - the experience had nothing to do with Christmas. Food was tasty but the experience was very uncomfortable and annoying. I’m not even sure why they still advertise this dinner as a Christmas dinner when this has nothing to do with Christmas. Very poor attention to...
Read moreCame here for lunch and the experience was good. Nice relaxed ambiance as soon as I stepped inside the restaurant, followed by welcoming restaurant managers and the rest of the staff. Although I want to note on some unsettling moist / clothy smell permeating through the air. I had no idea what it was but if that weren't present then the overall atmosphere would've been very nice. On the food, we had the burata pasta, eggplant quinoa and the steak (I forgot all the formal names of the dishes unfortunately), and enjoyed them along with the coffees. Personal highlight was the burata, although the steak I find was bland and heavy on oil as well as the eggplant being just OK and also a little heavy on the oil. On the good note the portions of each dishes were filling. Otherwise, the lunch was topped off with something sweet which was the pancake with assorted berries and chocolate sauce - quite indulgent and enjoyable. Prices are not cheap. Overall, an...
Read moreWent with my family for lunch on a public holiday and used the Chope coupon. Service was great from the highly responsive IG admin to the staff in the restaurant. Would call it a European food bistro, quite pricey, taste was not bad but it wasn't special either. Ribeye steak (ordered medium-rare and got medium) and Pork Chops were a bit tough, the sides were well done be it the potatoes that came with steak or the ratatouille. Cold cuts were huge portions with lots of other appetizers that were quite nice - cheeses were mostly on the mild side. 60THB to a 500ml glass bottle of Singha water was quite overpriced though. ONE parking spot in front of resto, you need to do road parking or find one of the parking lots that charges 50/hr nearby. No milk-alternatives for coffee, actually, restaurant doesn't seem to cater to allergies/intolerance, kind of hard for a group with lactose intolerant or vegan to locate a...
