I recently had the pleasure of attending a food tasting at Maison Dunand with the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs committee, in preparation for our upcoming Game and Chanterelles Dinner. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of spectacular, with every dish perfectly crafted and beautifully presented.
We began the evening with a delightful array of canapés, each one showcasing an exquisite balance of flavors and textures. Following this, we indulged in a truly exceptional Foie Gras ‘Maison Mitteault,’ which was both rich and delicate, setting the tone for the sophisticated courses to come. The next dish, a combination of Chanterelle and Porcini mushrooms topped with caviar, was an absolute highlight. The earthy depth of the mushrooms, combined with the luxurious brininess of the caviar, made for a memorable experience.
The Vol Au Vent Classique with Pheasant and Sweetbread was a masterful display of classic technique, and the flavors were elevated to perfection. For the main course, we enjoyed Wild Venison, which was cooked to perfection—tender, succulent, and full of robust flavors that highlighted the beauty of game meat.
The evening continued with a refined cheese selection accompanied by excellent fruit bread, which provided just the right balance of sweet and savory. To finish, the Tarte Tatin Traditionnel was a perfect conclusion to a flawless meal. It was a true classic, executed with great finesse, leaving everyone at the table in awe.
Overall, the entire tasting was an exceptional showcase of Maison Dunand’s culinary prowess. I am confident that our upcoming dinner will be the highlight of the year for all Chaîne des Rôtisseurs members and guests, thanks to the impeccable skill and dedication of the team at Maison Dunand. Read moreWe had dinner and this was our second time (first time was a bistro). Food was good, nothing to complain about but also they wasn’t any dish that was like “amazing”. There are number of restaurants in Bangkok that provide similar flavors but less expensive. That said, to be fair, food was the best thing tonight for us.
Service was way overrated. Staffs are polite but not knowledgeable, randomly answered our question about food, and the service is extremely slow (similar to last time we came here). I don’t know what happened but they need to be way way organized. Staffs were slow and didn’t talk to each other, and we waited almost 15 mins for someone to came and took away our plates (after we called them twice). We had to ask for the bill 3 times! Until we thought of maybe tonight they provide free meal for us. I wouldn’t complain if they don’t have this Michelin star, but with that, I expect a lot more, and they did not deliver.
Atmosphere was good, nice...

Nestled in Soi Sathorn 10, Bangkok, this elegant establishment by Chef Arnaud Dunand offers an exceptional culinary experience that truly stands out. My visit included a delightful 4-course lunch accompanied by a perfectly paired wine flight. Additionally, we enjoyed sparkling water and coffee to round out the meal.
The presentation of each dish was delicate and lovely, with flavors that were simply amazing. The highlight was undoubtedly the Beef Short Rib, which was perfectly presented and tasted extraordinary.
The service was outstanding, with staff who spoke good English and attended to every need with professionalism and warmth. The restaurant itself is stylish and spotless, enhancing the overall dining experience.
While it is indeed a very expensive restaurant, the experience is worth every penny. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-notch French...
