During my recent trip to Bangkok, I was excited to visit the iconic Sky Bar on the 64th floor. However, upon arrival at the building, the staff directed me to the Pink Bar on the 61st floor instead. They claimed that it would offer a different view of the city at night and insisted that we check it out before heading up to the Sky Bar.
As we were led to our seats, the staff promised to take us on a tour of the bar and show us the different views. However, they quickly sat us down on one side of the bar, and the tour never happened. They then handed us a drink menu with prices starting at a whopping 2,800 baht, leading us to believe that we had to order a drink here before we could go up to the Sky Bar.
Feeling like we had been misled, we reluctantly ordered drinks from the overpriced menu. The drinks were nothing special, and certainly not worth the price tag. It wasn't until we finished our drinks that we discovered that there was no requirement to purchase anything at the Pink Bar in order to go to the Sky Bar. We were disappointed that we had spent so much money unnecessarily.
While the Pink Bar itself was decorated nicely, the experience was overall very underwhelming. The misleading tactics used by the staff left a bad taste in our mouths. It was clear that the Pink Bar was aimed at tourists looking to spend a lot of money, rather than those seeking a quality experience.
In conclusion, I would not recommend the Pink Bar to anyone looking for an enjoyable night out. The prices are outrageous, and the staff's misleading tactics left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. If you're interested in visiting the Sky Bar, I suggest bypassing the Pink Bar altogether and heading...
Read moreFirst of all, I wish there was a minus 5 stars, but that’s the best I can give.
We went to SIRICOO for a dinner, so when the table is not ready, the waitress wanted to show us the bars they have, Pink Bar, to wait and check it out before the table is ready.
The moment we arrived at Pink Bar, the waitress at the Pink Bar started introducing us champagnes, which is okay. But when we said that we are just here to wait for the table, and she gave us an eye roll sort of.
So out of empathy, we went to ask for the drinks menu, and she did explain a lot about champagne, and we are not interested, because she recommended champagnes, 9,000 baht a glass, not a bottle, a glass, and she says it’s very cheap.
Second, she started introducing other champagnes, always begin the sentence with very cheap, 20,000 baht to 80,000 baht for a Pierre Juliet, yes limited edition. And she say that was very affordable price.
I’m not angry with their pricing at all, but when we say we just wanted to just sit wait for the restaurant, she gave us another eye roll and keep on looking at us with a stare like I owe her money or something.
Unbelievable. I’m sorry for myself for even...
Read moreI am very unhappy with the service in the pink bar / the state tower. At the level 0 of the elevator we told a staff lady that we want to visit the sky bar from the movie hangover. At the top of the state tower (I thing level 61) the waitress guided us straight into the pink bar. I was wundering but didn’t remeber whether this was the bar from the movie or not. So we just want to drink a beer but the waitress told us there is no beer availabe. And the waitress also didnt told as that there is any other bar in this tower where we may could have a beer. So I paid 6355,80 Baht (~170€) for two cocktails, including 7% service fee. Wenn we left the bar we saw the real bar (from the film hangover) and where very disappointed. This is what I call a very bad deception. So I paid heavily to much money for 2 ugly and small cocktails. Around 1200 baht at the sky bar would have been fine. Because of this tourist rip off of we will never ever visit this cheating tower again and cannot recomment it in any ways! I wish it would be possible to give minus stars...
