I have been converted. My whole life, I've been a Papa John's aficionado. As much as it hurts fellow foodies to hear me say, rare is the case where a gourmet pizza locale actually gives me sufficient feels to justify the higher price. Hall's has done what many have not.

Their pizza. The crust reminds me of the naan texture of Italian wood oven baked pizza. Only, the toppings remain attached and the pizza is sliced. If you've been to Italy, you know what I mean. Those suckers just slide off. I digress. It's too good. Really. Sometimes, the oven gets a little overexcited and you get significant burn spots. Not a deal breaker, just rip them off.

Saturday Night. It's Saturday night for me every night. The lovely blend of sausage and pepperoni with basil and herbs. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The herb blend really sets this dish apart from other meat pizzas. The red sauce is light and sweet but only faintly so.

The special sauce has made me a convert. I am not a big fan of creamy white sauces. Admittedly, this is minty green... It has a slight kick and is seemingly Hall's own special blend of ranch, in my opinion. Truly delish. Dip your choice of pizza into this. I dare you.

The restaurant itself is very busy and bustling. You often run into a large party waiting to be seated at its peak season. The homey and hip farmhouse vibes are multiple stories with room options for bigger parties. Top floor is outdoors. All the employees are nice and also very stylishly dressed in a dapper farmhouse way.

The cheesecake is to die for. They usually have seasonal offerings, which come and go. Their Maple offering in the fall was truly delish with a caramelized sheet candy piece and a dollop of cream on top. It's also huge. Their caramel chocolate chip cookie is quite large and quite delicious. When fresh, it's interwoven caramel gooeyness pulls apart when breaking off a piece of cookie.

Hall's lies in the heart of midtown around other fun vibes such as Barrio and the Collective. It brings in a predominately youthful crowd, but definitely does not discriminate.

Come get a slice, or an entire pizza. You know you want to....

My fiancé and I went to Hall’s Pizza Kitchen to celebrate a birthday on 2/3/24. We made a reservation for 6:30pm in advance for the rooftop dining space. We arrived and were quickly seated upstairs on the rooftop. Our table was uncovered and had a great view of the city. Large heaters and blankets were available for patrons to use. It was truly a perfect date space. We ordered an appetizer, our pizza, and drinks. Once we got our drinks- it began to lightly drizzle. Very quickly- the rain started to get heavier. Many patrons that were not under the covered portion of the rooftop began getting moved to covered tables by the staff. However- my table and the table next to us that had 2 adults and two small children were not moved. Our appetizer got delivered to us in the rain. We had to hold our appetizer in our hands so it was under the covered roof and didn’t get wet. Mind you- the restaurant was able to find new seats not getting rained on for all of the other patrons on the rooftop. The family next to us finally asked for the food to go- instead of eating in the rain. Once the family next to us left- a member of the staff moved our heater closer to the other patrons that were covered by the roof. This left my fiancé and I with wet food and now no heat. We then asked for our pizza to be packed up to go, paid the bill, and left (also fwiw- we did still tip lol). Our waiter wasn’t apologetic until we asked for the remainder of our food to be packed to go. I am a big fan of Hall’s food, but their service that night was subpar to say the least. No one from management came to our table and assisted in moving us to another table. I understand if there were no available tables in the rooftop at that moment, but the Hall’s staff should’ve worked to accommodate us by moving us to the main dining table or bringing us an umbrella.

Moral of the story: Hall’s has great food- but I do not recommend eating on the rooftop. Get your ‘za to go or eat in the regular...

We came to Hall's on a busy Friday night. I would absolutely recommend making recommendations beforehand. We, however, did not have reservations. They were able to seat us immediately at the "bar". This ended up being the best seat in the house. It puts you front and center facing the heart of the restaurant--the kitchen. It felt like dinner and a show. We were able to watch the staff run like a well-oiled machine through endless orders. Seriously. They all worked so hard. It took a minute for our server to appear, and we ordered our drinks, the "quinn's barrata" appetizer and an "Eat your greens" salad as an appetizer as well. The server offered to pre-split the salad for us, which was very thoughtful. Both came out very quickly and were absolutely delicious. The sweet truffle honey mixed with the oil and fresh cheese was a dream. The flatbread was meh. I had a few bites and then ate the cheese/prosciutto without it. My one critique of the food was that the pizza took a long, long time to come out. And I know (since I was watching that oven) that they just can't fit a lot of pizzas in there at once. To this end, I highly recommend appetizers, and patience. We ordered the half and half pizza. It is the perfect size, and a great option for 2 people to each get what they want. Ask for a side of the hot honey to drizzle on top. It is so good. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee cake. The cake itself was a little dry, but the butterscotch sauce was amazing. I could eat that by the spoonful. Our server was polite, but generally absent. Our glasses ran empty several times. All in all, it took about 2 hours from the time we were seated until we had our dessert and headed out the door. A fantastic way to spend our anniversary dinner!...

If you’re anywhere near Oklahoma City and haven’t made your way to Halls Pizza Kitchen, stop what you’re doing and go now. This place is doing something special with pizza – wood-fired perfection meets elevated flavor profiles that somehow feel both gourmet and totally comforting. We tried a half-and-half masterpiece that hit every note. One side was a savory dream: burrata, truffle honey, and prosciutto – the balance of creamy and salty with that kiss of sweetness from the honey was unforgettable. It’s the kind of combo that makes you close your eyes after the first bite and just feel feelings. The other half? Their signature "Saturday Night" – loaded with pepperoni, sausage, fresh basil, and that house sauce that might just be the best in the city. It’s bold, just a little spicy, and incredibly well-balanced. The fresh basil pops and ties everything together beautifully. Our server Sarah was the cherry on top – warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive without hovering. She helped us navigate the menu and made us feel right at home. The crust had that ideal wood-fired char, chewy but light – everything you want from a true artisan pie. Bottom line: Halls Pizza is a must-visit. Whether you're a pizza purist or in it for the creative toppings, this spot delivers big. Cozy atmosphere, fresh ingredients, bold flavors – 9.2/10 and already planning our next visit. Go. Eat. Thank me later.
