We hadn't eaten since breakfast after leaving our hotel in Yasmine Hammamet and headed to Tunis for an overnight stay at a nearby hotel.
We found Restaurant Sfax / Takeaway on a side street as we left our hotel to go out for the evening.
The menu prices were amazing at just over the equivalent of £4 GBP for lamb chops/cutlet served with chips and salad.
There were several tables inside to sit down and eat. There were several local people eating too, so we took a chance.
Service was very quick and suddenly a huge basket of bread appeared, speedily followed by a kind of bean broth and a plate of pasta in a tomato sauce base. These were announced as 🆓.
The food we ordered was plentiful and very tasty.
An unusual cut of lamb from what we would usually expect but well cooked, leaving a little pinkness - just as we like it.

However, when I got there, a waiter told me the restaurant was closed, even though someone was already eating inside.
