I recently visited this restaurant with high expectations due to its nice view and seemingly good service, both of which did not disappoint. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were attentive and courteous throughout our meal.
However, the food itself was quite underwhelming. The appetizer, a Carrot Tarator priced at 350 Turkish Lira, was the highlight of the meal and noticeably better than the main dishes. Unfortunately, the main courses fell short. The Krde Kebab, costing 1690 TL, was particularly disappointing-lacking flavor and overall quality. The Steamed Whiting, at 1150 TL, was served in a very small portion, leaving much to be desired in terms of both quantity and seasoning. Both dishes needed significantly more salt and pepper to be palatable.
One of the more frustrating aspects was the water charge: we were billed 150 TL for water served in "premium water" glasses, which we seen a waiter pour from a large blue bottle into the glasses. This felt unjustified and added to the sense of poor value.
Overall, I paid ~$95 USD for a meal that I wouldn’t consider worth even $30. Given the price point and the quality of the food, I cannot recommend this restaurant. There are definitely better dining options available, and I will not...
Read moreThe views were stunning, highly recommend for that! It is a shame you cannot see the actual sunset because of the neighbouring restaurant screens. We had a very nice meal, the lamb was lovely, in spite of the staff, although polite, not very attentive- forgetful and it was not easy to catch their eye, left with empty plates for a long time, etc. What was really disappointing was, when we were leaving the terrace, my 72-year old mum tripped on the last, poorly-lit step, and fell down on her knees. This was witnessed by a member of the staff coming down the stairs behind us. I took my shaken mum to the nearest chair in the completely empty floor. As we saw blood seeping through her white jeans, I asked the then assisting member of staff to help us with some antiseptic so we could dress the scratch. The members of staff disappeared, and came back, motioning (no English?) that they had nothing - no first aid box in the restaurant, excuse me??? and basically USHERED US OUT immediately! This lack of compassion or care spoiled our perfectly nice evening entirely, so disappointing! Visit on the...
Read moreBeautiful views, the rooftop deck can be enclosed with roll down windows if it's too windy. We were here in October 2022 , evening temperature around 16-17. Service was great, smiles from everyone. You can tell the locals are happy to see tourism come back to the country after COVID-19. Prices to expect about $200 Canadian dollars per person. Including food, drinks 🍷🍻, desert and tip. Definitely make a reservation as the rooftop is not very big. You can walk in to eat street level. I enjoyed a filet mignon on a bed of garlic mashed. Greek salad and their house 🍷 wine. It was good, a dry full bodied red. As we are traveling, I didn't want to buy a bottle, and the house wine is the only one by the glass. They Also have white, and an extensive wine list by the bottle. Mixed drinks and 🍺🍻 beers. My hubby loved his Lamb Shank, fall off the bone 🍗 tender. And a cheese appetizer. We share a baklava for desert and it was delicious 😋!! Would...
