Hidden Bar - Gin Bar — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Dragon's Tooth and Hidden Bar at the Rosewood Hotel Abu Dhabi, where we encountered three remarkable individuals who made our experience truly exceptional. We would like to express our admiration for Emmanuel, Vijay, and Mr. Tee, whose genuine warmth, professionalism, and dedication left a lasting impression.

Firstly, we met Emmanuel at the Dragon's Tooth. Despite his busy schedule studying business in Dubai, he effortlessly balanced his role as a part-time bartender. What struck us most was Emmanuel's ability to converse fluently in Mandarin, a testament to his diverse background and cultural understanding. His attentive service and friendly demeanor made us feel welcomed and valued as guests.

At the Hidden Bar, we had the pleasure of meeting Vijay, hailing from my home country, Penang, Malaysia. Vijay's passion for his craft was evident as he took great delight in ensuring that our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. His genuine enthusiasm and warm hospitality created an atmosphere that felt like being among friends. Vijay even went above and beyond by extending a personal invitation to a private wine tasting event featuring a live band when we returned again on Friday night, ensuring that we could still enjoy the vibrant music despite the change in plans. It was a gesture that truly touched our hearts. We were so glad to meet Emmanuel again at the event.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Mr. Tee, the manager of Hidden Bar, for his generosity in allowing us to participate in the exclusive wine tasting event. The event became a truly memorable and special occasion, thanks to Mr. Tee's graciousness and hospitality.

This is the thrid time I go to hidden bar. It's the ideal place for a date or a quiet hangout with friends. The food is great and the bar has the widest variety of gin I have ever seen, it also has a pool table and nice views of the canal.

Why 3 stars then? When you order a Gin and Tonic the tonic is complimentary (Schweppes) and you have a more expensive option for 15 dirhams that has more flavor for the experienced palate.

the first two times they told us: we give you the complimentary schweeppes unless you wanted the more expensive option. Last time they just brought the more expensive option already open, when we complained they said it was the same price. Second round another waiter told us schweppes was still free. We tried arguing the price but it was pointless.

Be extremely careful because depending on the waiter they want to push the Premium tonic and not the complimentary one.
