Shocking Discovery at Shake Shack I recently had a lunch outing with my family at Shake Shack in Dubai Hills Mall, and I must say, our experience was far from pleasant. I feel compelled to share my shocking encounter with the hope that it will raise awareness and prompt appropriate actions to prevent such incidents from occurring again.
Upon ordering our meals, my daughter excitedly bit into her sandwich, only to discover a live worm wriggling out of it. It was an appalling sight and completely unexpected, especially in a reputable establishment like Shake Shack. My family was left in a state of disbelief and disgust.
Understandably disturbed by this horrifying incident, we immediately notified the staff, who were quick to express their apologies and concern. They assured us that they would take immediate action to investigate the matter and rectify the issue.
To ensure the incident was properly addressed, we also reported the incident to the Dubai Municipality, as it is crucial to maintain health and safety standards within the city. It is disheartening to think that such a repulsive occurrence could take place in Dubai, where stringent regulations are usually in place to ensure the well-being of residents and visitors.
As a customer, I never expected to encounter such unhygienic conditions at a renowned restaurant like Shake Shack. It is imperative that the management take this incident seriously and conduct a thorough review of their food handling processes to prevent any future occurrences.
While I understand that isolated incidents can happen in any establishment, it is crucial for Shake Shack to address this matter promptly and transparently. Customers should be able to enjoy their meals without the fear of encountering...
Read moreI like me some juicy well cooked burgers, so I end up trying almost every burger joint in the city. Shake Shack is actually not an unheard name in the burger heaven - infamously American; they consider themselves a "roadside" burger joint, which obviously isn't the case for Dubai-ites / Abu Dhabi-ites.
Yes, it's a tad bit pricey, but hey it's also top notch quality. I've seen multiple variations in their burgers that keep changing time to time. Guess it's good to keep trying?! My latest visit landed me devouring a shakburger with Cherry peppers. Explosive flavor those lil chopped up peppers have and it's definitely not for the faint hearted. I'd say keep your soda close and those cheddar cheese topped crinkly fries closer.
Been there a million times, though regretfully I still haven't tried their frozen yogurts or their shakes. If you are carb conscious they'll happily replace your burger bun with lettuce leaves. Saves TONS of calories and who needs the bread anyways.
Beef fans definitely need to visit this one! It's almost present in every mall so stop resisting. Vegetarians sadly have one "shroom" burger option which isn't bad either! So there's an option for everyone!!

Read moreShake Shack at Mall of the Emirates is a go-to spot if you’re in the mood for something quick, tasty, and indulgent. There are plenty of seating areas, and the service is fast with a friendly team that keeps things running smoothly.
The truffle fries were the highlight—crispy, flavorful, and just addictive. The burger I had was also really satisfying. But the Dubai chocolate milkshake? A bit of a disappointment. If you’ve tasted real Dubai chocolate, this one falls flat. The flavor was more milky than chocolaty, with barely a trace of pistachio or kunafa. At around €9, it’s definitely not worth it in my opinion.
One thing to note: the atmosphere isn’t exactly relaxing. It’s often very crowded, and if you’re not a fan of noisy environments—or kids running and screaming around—you might find it a bit overwhelming.
Overall, it’s a good spot for a fast bite, with reasonable prices for the food quality, but not the best...
