Extremely Disappointing Customer Service at Chinese Palace, MOE Branch
I would like to formally raise a serious concern regarding the unpleasant experience my partner and I encountered today at the Chinese Palace - Mall of the Emirates branch. After purchasing a pair of jeans and finishing our breakfast, I asked my partner to accompany me to buy the chicken vegetable wonton, which I had been craving since yesterday. Upon arrival at the branch, we saw no queue and only one staff member in the serving area. Thinking it would be a quick takeaway order, we proceeded directly to the counter and patiently waited to be assisted.
The staff in the serving section was busy cleaning and so we continued to wait for the cashier instead. Meanwhile, a group of Kabayan customers arrived and appeared to have already placed their orders, possibly just adding more items.
Then, a woman wearing a yellow shirt walked by the counter. She showed no initiative or intention to assist us until my partner politely called her attention:
"Hello, excuse me, can you take our order?" To which she responded, in a tone:
"What is your order?"
I replied,
"We will make an order."
She snapped back with: "Yes. What is your order?" – again, in a dismissive and impolite manner.
I placed my usual order of Szechuan Chicken Vegetable – Takeaway, and she asked if we wanted anything else. I clearly said:
"Only this. Takeaway."
Yet, she asked the same question two more times, each time in a more irritated and rude tone, as if trying to provoke us. Finally, she threw the Tag Number towards us rather than handing it over properly. Something I’ve never experienced before at this same establishment when ordering the same item. This behavior was unacceptable and unprofessional, especially considering it was still early in the day. The entire experience left both me and my partner deeply upset and disappointed.
If this staff member holds a supervisory or leadership role, it is even more alarming. She is expected to set an example, not display hostile, unwelcoming, and degrading behavior that reflects poorly on your brand.

The food was mediocre to bad, and the cashier was rude. I ordered one wonton soup with my initial order. The servers didn't communicate with each other, and the cashier, Dynalyn? (a tall dude), asked me to confirm the order. I repeated that I ordered one shrimp wonton soup. For some reason, he charged me for two wonton soups, claiming that he had asked me twice to confirm the order, which he had not. My partner and I both did not hear him confirm how many wonton soups I ordered. We just clearly did not hear him, and we out loud said "one wonton." When I went up to him to talk about this issue, he was incredibly sassy with me, saying, "Ma'am, I asked you twice," and "Nope, I'm 100% sure I asked." Okay, but I 100% did not hear you and do not recall you confirming the order. If the cashier had at least been polite about it and hadn't immediately treated me like a "Karen," I would have been like, "Oh well..." But unfortunately, he was just way too sassy and snappy with me, and I lost my patience there as well.
