Frites Caesar — Restaurant in Bath

Not enough seating kept us waiting across the rd an hour at the pub, which also had no seating . Then, we went across to find out where our food was they had served the 5 tables in the restaurant again as they all had different people seated at them all eating steak & chips which is what we ordered Clearly, they had forgotten us over at the pub When I pointed out that all of the newly seated people were eating what we'd ordered, The chef got aggressive, saying we have a system, don't tell me how to run my kitchen, etc, No apologies for the wait. Just aggressive tones & body language He then slapped 20 quid on the counter, telling me we weren't getting no food & to leave The food was £41 he didn't even know how much he money he owed me or what I'd ordered so I had to tell him to return the rest of my money which he didn't he just slapped another 20 on the counter Leaving me a pound short so I paid a pound to be kept waiting an hour This ended up in us almost having a fight. Thankfully for him, his female staff members saved him from more embarrassing behaviour as he was shouting & swearing as was I in front of a shop full of people covered the place n glory Guy has no clue his staff didn't either they came over to the pub tried to give us the wrong order which on reflection, I wish I'd just taken to save me, waiting an hour for nothing Instead of apologising for the wait, he would rather throw you out People call this a steak house it's not a steak house it's a takeaway charging top prices while being understaffed & clearly they can't cope with the volume of business from such small premises

The situation that occurred between was entirely of your own making Because you were the one who started with the aggression withdrawing the food that was on the counter according to you, ready for me to take across the rd But because you didn't like what I said in relation to serving lots of other customers before us, you threw a temper tantrum saying , Mate, mate, there's a process Then slapped 20 quid down as hard as you could on the counter I asked for our food as I'd paid & waiting for an hour patiently Something you seem to forget The other rubbish you wrote Regards intoxicated 🤣 I hadn't had a single drop of Alcohol the only reason I was in the pub is because you sent me there to wait for my food as you don't have enough room in your tiny little searing area You had not one child in your restaurant, another lie Your clearly an angry man who can't cope with the stress of a busy service e have a look at yourself and make some changes fella you have a previous review about your arrogant attitude you clearly think you've made so much money you don't need customers hence your attitude at the outset. You knew exactly where I was across the street in the pub explaining to the other 5 people what had happened, so if you'd called the police of happily explained my part in it Fact is your an aggressive bully who thought I'd back down with you having to he held back bye your staff because you kept giving the impression you wanted to fight Hence I invited you to come round the counter & do what your body language & aggression was showing me you wanted to do Look in a mirror. The energy you give off you get right back at you You treated 6 customers like crap but couldn't stop yourself from seeing it due to your ego, hence the escalated situation I wouldn't come back if you paid me You serve steak over chips in a box & charge a fortune 4 it so as a tourist trap your quids in Train your staff properly then they'll be aware of people waiting And on much more serious note train your staff to enquiry if people have any allergies before you kill someone with your peanut oil fried chips as not one mention of it which again shows you've no understanding of your responsibilities to...

I had such a wonderful experience at this cozy little restaurant! The food was fantastic, with generous portions at a very reasonable price. We started with calamari, which was perfectly crispy and tender. The fries were golden, crunchy, and just the right amount of salty—an ideal complement to the meal. The steak was a standout: cooked just right, juicy, and full of flavor. The sauces were absolutely brilliant, we got the chimichurri for the steak and it was a gem. You can tell the care they put into each dish, and it really shines through in the taste.
