This place has the classic case of people coming here with a strange set of expectations which misalign with the restaurant.

It is a decent independent Thai place serving exactly the menu you would expect. The food is solid but not spectacular as others have noted, however the location really is excellent. The service is reasonable for a small restaurant - we weren't waiting particularly long for either menus, food or the bill.

You pay an extra quid or two for the view over the weir, but frankly it is entirely worth it. The prices overall are basically in line with what you get relative to the places around it and I honestly don't think there is a restaurant with a better view in the whole city.

My frank review would be 4, but it gets 5 from me here as the overall it has at the moment just doesn't seem at all fair from my perspective. I understand that some people may wish for every restaurant in Bath to be fine dining, however you need a mixture and this place provides it.

If anyone wants a recommendation, the sizzling noodles with chicken goes down excellently with a cold beer.

We had takeaway from here. The food wasn't inedible, but it was disappointing. Prawn crackers were tough, chewy and tasteless. Mixed Platter for 2 was ok but nothing special. We were disappointed to find that the promised squid had been substituted for some kind of toast with wild garlic and sesame, without telling us. Or else we'd been given someone else's item. The tempura vegetables were tasty but the batter was thick and dense, not how you'd expect tempura to be. Pad Thai was incredibly sweet - none of the usual sourness from tamarind or spice from chilli to balance out the sweetness was detectable. Pad Phrik Bai Krapao was tasty but an unpleasant consistency - vegetables were way overcooked and were mush. Mango Wontons sounded like a nice idea but in reality the sugars from the mango burnt before the rest was cooked properly. The accompanying raspberry sorbet was, however, delicious. Food was ready at the expected time, and collection was a breeze. Won't be returning due to the quality...

Stunning views, horrendous service and food. We were taken back by the views albeit ignoring the close passers by that walk right by your table. The worst customer service ever received at a restaurant by the lady chef. Rude, obnoxious and makes you feel embarrassed that customer service can stoop so low. It certainly wasn’t our fault they ‘lost’ our order and we had to wait at least an hour for food to arrive, and when it did, whilst we already had a bad taste in our mouths, the food disappointed also. Rather tasteless. As others have put on their reviews a tourist trap which unfortunately we fell into and one to be avoided at all cost. Shame when in times when so many restaurants are closing due to the pandemic that I feel I can’t write a positive glowing review and support small businesses. I’m sure there are plenty more in Bath that are welcoming with excellent food, just a shame that we chose Thai Weir that was far from...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Thai restaurant where I tried the veg noodles sizzler, and it was absolutely delicious! The dish arrived sizzling hot, filling the air with tantalizing aromas that immediately whetted my appetite. The noodles were perfectly cooked, with a wonderful stir-fry of fresh vegetables that added both color and crunch. What really stood out was the vibrant sauce that tied everything together, offering a delightful balance of flavors that was both savory and slightly spicy. The presentation was top-notch, served elegantly on a sizzling platter that made the meal feel special and inviting. Overall, this veg noodles sizzler was a highlight of my dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal at this fantastic Thai restaurant!

This little restaurant is blessed with perfect location.... by the side of classic Georgian Pulteney Bridge, overlooking Pulteney Weir with a fabulous view of flowing Avon river. We just happened to come across this beautiful little restaurant as we took some steps going down, at one end of Pulteney Bridge. We just had tea/ coffee with some munchies, and it was so relaxing... a truly pleasant experience. I am giving an extra star for its excellent location and the stunningly beautiful views it offers. Highly recommended.
