In a cobblestone lane where the twilight meets the day, Stands The Corkāa warm beacon where the weary come to stay.    Read moreWe booked karaoke in the largest pod in The Cork. It was fantastic value, as we paid a flat fee of £40 for two hours (on a week night) for a pod of up to 10 people.
The karaoke music catalogue was a different type of machine and software compared to other known karaoke places. This meant that there were limitations on what you could sing and the search function was somewhat clunky. For example, no Taylor Swift songs at all, and only a selection of songs from other main artists.
The main con was that there was only one microphone provided for the whole room, and that it was quite quiet compared to the music.
The pod could get quite hot too, although there was a portable air conditioning unit provided (however there was no exhaust hose so unless the door was propped open, the warm machine air just came back into the room).
Overall however, I still rate The Corkās karaoke very highly. It was amazing value and a great space to have. For the price of up to Ā£4 each (if you were a group of 10 paying Ā£40 for two hours) then you really canāt complain. We were able to find a good selection of songs and had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely love this place - a must visit whenever I come to Bath. It just has such a great atmosphere and there is genuinely no where else like it in town. Not only have they got the best beer garden in the city, but the inside is a great mix of cool and quirky. It's the kind of place you can come with a group of friends, a date, on a night out, for a special occasion.. it pretty much caters for anything, as long as you're keen to have a good time. The menu predominately issues Americana-style grub such as burgers, hotdogs and nachos (all of which are soooo good), but there are options such as halloumi salad or grilled chicken wrap for those wanting something a bit lighter. A recent flatbread special was absolutely delicious, we practically inhaled it - the crispiest base, resplendent with toppings such as parma ham, parmesan, olives... I hope it goes on the menu full time, as I have a feeling I'll be craving them before long. Also, if you're a student/download The Cork app, there are some greta discounts you can claim - making a visit here even...
