What a delightful surprise it was to stumble upon this place while walking around in search of a breakfast spot. It was one of the few establishments open early in the morning, and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try.

On my first visit, I ordered the French toasts, and they turned out to be the best ones I have ever had. The taste, texture, and overall presentation were simply exceptional. I was so impressed by the quality of the French toasts that I couldn't resist coming back the next day for another culinary adventure.

During my second visit, I opted for the Turkish eggs, and while they were delicious in their own right, I must confess that I still find myself daydreaming about those delectable French toasts. They were truly a memorable culinary experience that left a lasting impression on my taste buds.

Not only did this place offer outstanding food, but the overall experience was also enjoyable. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It's always a pleasure to dine in an establishment where the service complements the fantastic food.

I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a remarkable breakfast experience. Whether it's the irresistible French toasts or other enticing dishes on the menu, this place knows how to create culinary masterpieces that leave a...

Sad to write this review as I have been a regular at Cafe Coho and it has such potential, but time and time again the service has just been too below the mark.

The upstairs space (where I usually sit) is neglected by staff, and tables are not cleared. I sat there working, and even though a waiter had brought up my drink and saw that there were dirty dishes on the tables, none were cleared for the rest of the time that I sat upstairs (at least 1 hour). On another occasion, when there were two tables of dirty dishes, a waiter cleared away only some of the plates, and never came back (again, this was for the whole time I was sitting there - approx 1 hour).

On another disappointing occasion, I ordered my brunch and waited over an hour and a half for it. It turned out that there had been an error in the kitchen, which I only found out after asking after my food twice. I understand if this was a fluke, but the staff did not seem apologetic.

The food from Coho is good (when it eventually comes out the kitchen) but the lacklustre attitude of the staff (who can be heard chatting and laughing while dirty dishes lie on tables upstairs) just ruins the overall experience and aesthetics of the place! Better management is needed pronto, although I sadly won’t...

For the second time, today I brought my mother in her wheelchair to the cafe to be turned away. Owing to her health conditions you can appreciate it takes a lot of effort to get her out the house and it rarely happens. Twice now we have arrived before the kitchens advertised closing time (3.30pm on a weekday) expecting and needing cooked food to be told the kitchen is closed. No explanation as to why its been closed early (I could ofc understand an unforeseen breakdown of equipment etc) and surly delivery and no apology from the staff. Also, due to her wheelchair and the narrow premises it takes a lot of negotiating to get her into position - both times its been basically empty and we've been looking at and discussing the printed hot food menu (which has been left on the tables both times in spite of none of it apparently being available) where again staff could have kindly intervened and not waiting til I've come to the counter to order.

Both times we've then had to reverse the difficult process of settling my mother and her chair (not that I expect it but also with no assistance in or out. Just rude comments regarding the space we are taking up).

We won't come back...

I am very happy I visited coho and here are the reasons: The Staff was excellent, very kind and fast, 3 different members of staff helped us either by taking an order for the table or bringing extra water. Everyone simply kind. The food: It was great! I included pictures. Me and my gluttonous friends decided to get a dish for each and then an extra for the table as we all wanted to try the Coho French Toast. I am very happy with the food. The eggs had the perfect egg yolk (for me) and I know people can be tough to satisfy when it comes to it and the French toast was amazing. The menu has all the classic options for Brunch. There’s also a backyard that’s outside and we didn’t know about it until after we left but it looked beautiful for a sunny day! Highly recommend this place, especially for the great service. It’s opposite Hixon Green that despite having good food has awful service. I am very happy and can’t wait to go again!

Was walking by on a Sat afternoon with my partner and happened upon Cafe Coho Hove. Encouraged to go in by the barista smiling at us through the window. We went for the brunch deal and loved it. I had the French toast which was sooooooo good - best ever in fact. My girlfriend had the sweet potatoe hash (think that is what it was called). Again it was really good - I sampled some and the chorizo in it was sublime. The deal includes a glass of prosecco, an item from the brunch menu and a coffee. All for £14.50 - thought it was excellent value and going back this weekend for the same! They also do a bottomless brunch which sounds huge fun as demonstrated by the group of ladies who came in when we did and were still there two hours later when we passed by again (booking necessary) 😀
