We visited chocoberry first time yesterday, we had an amazing 5* breakfast. I honestly have to highlight the delicious breakfast as I didn’t have any better one for really long time in Britain. Myself I picked The meditterranean which is exactly the type of food I would have for breakfast and mix I’m missing in any other restaurant’s breakfast choices not only it looked amazing it tasted absolutely great! Falafel was really tasty! My partner had Shakshuka which he described as the best spiced dish. It was just so delicious that I would recommend anyone to visit and try!!! I would love to order more food if I wouldn’t be full! And I can’t wait for my next visit. Now to that worse part of review- 2 reasons we’re giving 4/5 stars was really poor and bad Coffee I think probably the worst Coffee I had in really long time I would genuinely sign my staff to barista’s training immediately after getting something like this..because this place is kind of being expected to have 5* Coffee & cake service.. Milk was absolutely burnt we ordered flat white and capuccino which was basically completely same except of mug. There was no foam in capuccino at all I had more foam in my flat white ( which is on picture I added )and the reason you Will not see any latte art on your flat white is - that with burnt milk it’s not possible. ( we took a picture of our coffee to highlight that with members of the staff after breakfast ) but then we didn’t really want to say anything as we’ve noticed they probably had an area manager over and we didn’t want them to feel uncomfortable that point. Second reason were staff- just to point out- ladies were not rude but just a bit “quiet” to say we’ve been only customers there eating - well only customers at all- staff have been quite innatentive and I would be expecting more positive and energised attitude especially if you’re not busy… we ordered coffees and breakfast and we got huge breakfast before our coffees which would take a second to make as you have no other tables to serve- reminding restaurant was empty except of one manager sitting there.. And then we got served our coffee one by one ( while eating breakfast )which was also really strange to see, as it’s not hard to make two coffees and bring them together. I love to see type of people and staff you’re coming back for even food is not as great-well in here it was completely the opposite - you would come back for food but not for staff. we’ve been also waiting for like 10 minutes to pay - which if you have to pay at the desk it’s ok, but we didn’t know..so we’ve been sitting and waiting to be “noticed” … We would still come back as we wanted to try cakes but we’ve been full after our breakfast and we definitely Will come back for breakfast if Chocoberry will open in our city in Manchester as we’re not local unfortunately to come back soon to Leicester.

I came here for Sunday brunch with my mum and sisters. We ordered the Mediterranean breakfast which was decent but it didn’t blow us away. They only gave one piece of halloumi which was sad, the avo and hummus was nice though. The yogurt which was meant to have walnuts and honey only had honey (no walnuts). The salad was nice and fresh and the za’tar bread was good too. The South Asian breakfast was satisfying. Everything on that plate was pretty good. We also got the chicken cheesy bagel thing which wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t really order it again. As our sweet option we got the kunafeh french toast which looked amazing but unfortunately lacked a in terms of taste. The toast itself hadn’t soaked enough of the custard so it was kind of dry and didn’t have that nice soft kind of texture French toast is meant to have. The toppings were good though which was where the kunafeh came in. And they also gave a berry coulis/ syrup to drizzle all over. When it came to drinks they had ran out of half the ingredients/drinks which was a bummer, so half the things we wanted we couldn’t get. Anyway we ended up ordering according to what they had and we all agreed that the only drink that was actually enjoyable was the peach cooler. Their coffee isn’t good at all (if you don’t mind basic coffee and aren’t fussy about the actual taste of the coffee beans then you’d be fine). My mum found the chai serving too less and my sister ordered a red velvet latte which was essentially a red hot chocolate because it had no coffee in it. Props to the servers though cause they were trying their best but they do need some more training especially as this cafe is really popular. All in all it was nice eating ready made breakfast but we just had higher expectations I guess. Also, it is a little on the pricey side but the food portions are big. Overall rating: 3.5

The wait time was quite long which was expected considering it was a Sunday. We had ordered the dynamite chicken for starters and the chicken steak and chicken tenders for the mains. While there was nothing wrong with the food it lacked a little flavour and the sauce on top of the dynamite chicken was not very appealing. There was also lack of choice for kids so bear that in mind. We ended up ordering adult burgers and them splitting them in half. They were pretty mediocre with no flavour or seasoning. The portion sizes were ok but for a growing lad like me I would have liked to have more. The desserts were standard however I must point out the Kunafe is a worthwhile choice. Our main waiter was exceptional however when he was serving the neighbouring tables the other staff on hand didn't seem very motivated to help us. A small gripe is that they don't serve tap water They had no room temperature water bottles for purchase so we were forced to take cold ones which is not ideal when you have small children. In this day and age all establishments should really give tap water as standard. I feel the place is trying to be an instagrammable establishment with it's fancy decor and flowers on the walls. While I have nothing against it I don't think it's necessarily needed as the customer ends up paying more than needed for a pretty standard meal.

Chocoberry has always been a favourite with their amazing desserts which I have never been disappointed with. Always been my go to with the family. Il be honest when I saw this place open I didn't have high expectations as not many places who specialise in desserts can make good quality food at the same time. However I still wanted to visit and give it a try. We ordered the Steak & Egg breakfast, Egg Avacado Croissant, Pistachio & Rasberry French Toast, Hot Chocolate and Mocha. Both the breakfasts were so fresh & tasty and were served in a very nice presentable way. The French toast was absolutely delicious 👌 I love pistachio generally so loved this however to make it hit the spot maybe a scoop of ice cream would go well with it so it doesn't feel sickly and balance it out. Drinks were exactly what we expected. The staff were great so friendly and helpful in going through the menu. What I found exceptional about their service was that one of the chefs/staff not sure came out and asked if we were ready for our French Toast which goes to show how they like to serve their food at the right time and make it fresh. This honestly won my heart! Love places who show passion with food they serve. Over great place would defo recommend. 10/10

I have dined here twice now. First time was just for quick snacks and catch up with a friend and second time for desserts with the kids. Ordering was a bit confusing the second time. The QR codes on the tables were damaged and could not be scanned. A little while later, we were handed an ipad to place our order. After I completed my order online, the lady came over and took my order again as she then informed me that the ipad was just for selecting items, not actually placing the order! The process worked, I just wished someone had explained it to us. When we went for desserts, between the five of us, one dessert came out to us almost instantly after the order was placed, the next three came out about another 20 minutes later and the last one came out another 5 minutes after that. This was very frustrating. The first time I visited I didn't have any of these issues so I'll put it down to an 'off day'. Both times, the food was delicious. Noodles slightly over boiled but still very tasty. All the desserts were simply perfect and we practically licked out our plates! I would definitely visit again.
