Me, my parents and children came to Nandos Princes Quay today for something to eat. My son has multiple allergies- nuts, wheat, milk, coconut and egg. I was very apprehensive at trying to find anywhere to eat because if this. We do not usually eat out at all because most places say they cannot guarantee cross contamination risk aversion. Also if we were to try then I would have phoned ahead to ask questions. My parents suggested we eat while we were out so I took a chance at nandos to ask. I was very surprised and happy that the staff member who approached us was very reassuring and knowledgeable!! Steph was really kind and assured us the kitchen staff would clean down the cooking appliances ready to cook his meal seperately. They would use seperate utensils, tongs etc for his meal. And they would happily substitute anything on the menu to make sure he could eat safely. The manager was equally brilliant! He came over to show me the allergy advice on his ipad and showed me how to use it. He looked at my sons allergy plan information. And he made sure we ordered at the till so he could personally take our order. I listed my sons allergens at the till and the manager recited them to check they were entered correctly. Once my sons meal arrived they has put on a allergy sticker to mark his plate. I was very relieved to finally find somewhere that our family can eat out at in the future after unsuccessful attempts at many other restaurants. We will definitely be visiting Nandos in the future. I am hoping the other branches of Nandos have equally amazing , knowledgeable staff like Princes Quay Nandos do. Very very happy- I was close to crying (if youre an allergy mum youll get it!) just from the kindness Steph showed us alone, and the relief that my son can have an option now to eat out. Please thank your staff. Thankyou so much for being so accommodating...
Read moreWe had a really lovely waiter here, he was friendly and helped with our choices. The food was deliciously cooked and tasty, I ordered the sunset burger with fries and Mac 'n' cheese. The burger was beautifully constructed with fresh salad inside and catered perfectly to my taste as I aren't a fan of overly spicy food. The bread bun was lovely and soft and the chicken patty inside was hot and fresh. The mac'n'cheese side is so nice I would get that as a meal on its own. It has a lovely creamy texture, with a perfect ratio of cheese, garnished with peri bread crumbs. I would urge anyone to get the mac'n'cheese. The chips were lovely and fresh and nicely seasoned. All the food at nandos is reasonably priced. This visit consisted of 2 meals with 4 sides all in all and two bottomless drinks. I left full and unable to eat all my meal, so good job nandos. This came up to £35 for everything and I would challenge anyone to tell me another place with as good service, cleanliness and quality of food that does it as cheap as here. I had a wonderful...
Read moreAte at Nando's Princes Quay on Monday afternoon. Poured three self serve drinks before meal...a coke no ice, a Coke Zero with ice and a glass of water with ice. My father noticed the water smelled fusty and didn't drink it. I drank the Coke Zero with ice pre meal and as soon as I finished my meal I started to feel sick. I had to pull into a supermarket on the way home with cramps and diarrhoea. The next day I started to feel pain when urinating. It's now Friday and I've tested positive for a bladder infection. My son who drank the Coke without ice was fine and my father who smelled the fusty water/ice was fine. If my maths is correct I'd say the ice machine was dirty (I work in the food industry and ice machine hygiene is a priority with regular cleaning and maintenance being of very high importance). The meal was excellent and the staff were wonderful but if you are reading this Nando's...check your...
