I visited this location at around 5 pm on Thursday, August 7th, to celebrate my son’s birthday with my family (two adults and two children). On arrival, we mistakenly walked straight to a table without noticing the sign at the entrance asking customers to wait to be seated. A member of staff politely explained this to my husband, and we apologised.
However, what followed left us very disappointed. The same staff member was unprofessional, gossiping about the incident to colleagues and rolling her eyes at my husband on more than one occasion — including when he went to order food and was complimenting one of their drinks. This behaviour was rude and unnecessary, and it made our family feel uncomfortable for the rest of the visit.
We have been to several Nando’s locations over the years and usually enjoy the food and atmosphere, but unfortunately this was the worst customer service we have experienced. We left feeling unwelcome and will think twice before returning to...
Read moreBest Nandos ever. Only had 40 minutes b4 train going so we asked if we had time to eat and a staff member said there might not be, but they could always wrap it for us to take away. We decided to try and ordered. All of a sudden a piping hot superb meal arrived after not very long at all and we enjoyed Butterfly chicken, Great chips and Macho peas in generous portions delivered to the table by the lovely bloke who told us exactly how long things might have taken. He was so nice. It was the best service of all the Nandos I ve ever been to. Sadly I live near York. I ll definitely come here again and I d recommend it to anybody. Read moreI have just been treated with such disrespect by the man on the door at Nando's St Stevens! Despite there being no indication on the nandos website or on the door that you need to be in a PHYSICAL queue, we were told that we could not scan the QR code to enter the VIRTUAL queue unless we were in the PHYSICAL queue.
We had been waiting outside the restaurant for 40 minutes in a social distance area outside the store. Then to be told after all that time that we couldn't scan the code is ridiculous! Nandos really need to have a think about there practices.
Coupled with the rude man on the door who had no time to understand our situation i will not be dinning here again. Shocking customer service and the actions of this store are missleading and putting peoples health at risk by making the phisical queue a prerequisite to dinning in! Shocking!
