So I'm not really into reviews. But I kinda wanna do one so yeah. (I already want to apologize for my bad English)
Starting with the location: It was nicely next to the beach nice view of the horizon. The seating is like in most restaurants random so you may get a good table or a bad one.
Arriving: There weren't any lines we didn't have to wait just got in like that. A nice chill waiter got us to a spot that wasn't nice it was in the open and my neck was getting fried due to it being pretty warm. We later moved to a spot that was covered with umbrellas so it was chill. I think that shouldn't be necessary to move just so you don't get fried so more umbrellas would be nice.
Menu and Ordering: The menu itself was ok there were most you would like nothing special still not too basic. The ordering had to be done through App which was ok I guess it was sometimes crashing but it's fine you know. I ordered fish and chips and a soda it cost me around 15 pounds which is ok.
Food: In my case where it wasn't packed, I waited around 20 min for the food. My fish and chips were good. The batter was greasy the fish was soft and nice I liked it. Oh, ye and the staff was in my case nice.
Generally speaking, I liked it here and if I lived in this area I would probably come here again the only thing which I kinda disliked was the spot we got which was in the open otherwise decent restaurant with decent food (the last pic shows the loc we original sat and some seagulls which were...
Read moreDO NOT BOTHER. We had friends visiting so booked a table for 15. Although we stated we needed 3 high chairs. We were seated immediately next to the stage so was extremely loud. (That being said this is not a child friendly venue) We then tried using the QR code to order drinks. This wasn’t working. Waited 20 minutes for service. Once someone arrived they kept missing people from our table to I had to go back a few times to get someone over again to finish taking our drinks order. Then it came to food. What an absolute show this was. Only a limited amount of food was available and we were only told this after ordering. The staff then gave us alternatives that weren’t suitable due to dietary requirements. We were told there weren’t any nachos. Yet someone on our table ended up with a bowl of nachos. We had our nachos order cancelled and re ordered 3 times over. We were also told there was no pulled pork yet 3 of our table were served pulled pork burgers. The server then got to our friends sitting at the end of our table to take their food order and were told the kitchen was CLOSED!!!! How is it acceptable to only take some of our party’s food order? The servers did not seem to bat an eyelid. No care at all. The drinks were shocking too. £12 for an espresso martini that had about 3 sips worth. Will definitely not be returning. Absolute...
Read moreI stumbled into OHSO Social on a whim, chasing a quiet moment by the sea and ended up finding something far more memorable. Nestled right on Brighton Beach, just steps from the Palace Pier, this place doesn’t just serve food and drinks it serves atmosphere, connection, and a kind of effortless charm that lingers long after you leave.
The view alone is worth the visit: waves rolling in, starlings dancing between the piers, and the golden hour casting everything in a soft, cinematic glow. But it’s the vibe that truly sets it apart. Whether you’re sipping cocktails under the heated terrace or sharing a laugh over fish and chips, there’s a rhythm to this place that feels both laid-back and alive.
The staff were warm and attentive, striking that rare balance between casual and professional. I felt welcomed not just as a customer, but as a part of the evening. The food was fresh, comforting, and beautifully presented, with local ingredients that spoke to the season.
What I loved most was how OHSO Social made space for both solitude and celebration. It’s the kind of spot where you can reflect quietly with a drink or lose yourself in the energy of a beachside party. Either way, you leave feeling lighter.
Highly recommended for the view, the vibe, and the feeling of being exactly where you’re...
