Very very pathetic I brought my mum in for a meal only to have to sit through a man having a conversation on his phone for half an hour we complained to the staff and they were useless they just shrugged it off and said they “can’t do anything” pathetic. People come to eat and not to hear someone else’s phone call!

Food was ok came nicely presented

Next came the bill with the optional 10% service charge which I said I would not be paying for to which the waitress said “wasn't our service good enough?” Now what a completely rude question to ask it I felt like I was being made to feel bad about not paying the service charge but I stood my ground and said no and I told them I was not happy with that guy on his phone as I have just spent over £70 but I just got the same old bull that they “couldn’t do anything”

Their stairs to the bathroom are also uneven I nearly fell going up the stair's not happy about that

So I paid the bill and we left and we will not be returning what a horrible first experience and last experience at the rush orchid

Word of advice to the restaurant some people can’t afford to tip and shouldn’t be expected to tip and phone calls should not be happening while people are having their food some respect for others needs to be taken into account we questioned the other people eating and they were not...

As a party of 2 vegans and 2 meat eaters we chose to visit Ruan Orchid for their menu that caters to everyone but has very clearly labelled vegan options. Unfortunately the service we received in no way reflected this understanding of a meat free diet. My partner and I shared a couple of the vegan curries, one being the Thai sweet & sour with mixed vegetables and white bean curd. I even spoke to our waitress about the white bean curd, checking that it’s the same thing as tofu… so I was completely shocked and confused when me and partner realised that we had started to eat pieces of chicken. This is something we have actively avoided for 5 and 13 years so needless to say it completely spoiled the meal and made us feel quite unwell.

The staff were notified, apologised, and gave us the replacement dish we had ordered as well as taking a couple of dishes off the total bill but they still failed explain to us how a mistake like this had happened. I’m a chef myself and understand that miscommunication between front of house and the kitchen does happen but I sincerely hope the team can identify where they went wrong. Luckily I was not seriously ill from eating chicken, but dietary requirements and allergies should always be taken seriously, especially if you offer an...

A nice experience overall .. the food was nice ...I always order the same thing at most Thai restaurants so I know how it should taste for my liking ...I liked it .. the food was nice and hot ...we got there quite late and didn't book so for a Saturday we were glad to get a table as it was very busy ...we sat upstairs near the bar .. the service was good and I carnt really fault our visit ...I would go again ..massive portion of prawn crackers , they were fresh and delicious .. it was a bit noisy but nothing unbearable You can park on the street after a certain time I think but your lucky to have a parking space on a weekend . We parked about a mile away near the university residential area and walked through Chester ...mainly by choice because it wasn't a cold evening and we just wanted to pass a few shops...

This place is lovely. The interior looks amazing. The staff are so lovely and caring and worked really hard behind the face masks last night, it was such hot weather. The food was amazing, really good quality and really tasty, good portions too. We had the salt n pepper tofu too start and that was amazing, I had the special salmon teriyaki expecting very little salmon but there was lots of it and it tasted so nice, my husband had the special sea bass jungle curry and that was delicious too, they had a really good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, which was brilliant as we are pescitarian and many places are not so good at offering those kinds of meals. will definetly be coming back here. Thankyou to all the team that looked after us last night, you're awesome.

Firstly, the ambience of this restaurant is really authentic and calming, making it a great place to sit and spend some time enjoying food. Secondly, I really regret ordering takeout; after entering the restaurant, I felt like opting for dine-in, but it was too late. We ordered a portion of thick panang curry (hot) with chicken and two portions of jasmine rice. The curry already comes with a portion of jasmine rice (though it should’ve had a lot more jasmine flavor), and we also ordered a portion of egg fried rice, which is tasty. Finally, I had a good experience! It’s worth trying. A special note for the lovely lady who greeted us with a pretty smile, as she contributed to my good first impression of the place. 😊

I can’t believe I’ve never been here before! I visited yesterday with my parents and girlfriend; we all opted for banquet B w/ duck and pancakes add on. It was sensational, the flavours and presentation of the food was outstanding! The staff were so friendly, welcoming & attentive! My photos won’t do it justice and I forgot to take photos of each round because I was too busy indulging. This place is an absolute gem. You won’t find a better Thai Restaurant in Chester. Coconut soup and Panang curry were the best I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be returning, my new favourite restaurant in Chester! Can’t recommend this place enough, unreal!
