TOTAL FAILURE: Missing Paid Ingredients and Inedible Quality
This order (No. 7B7E2, total cost £34.90) was a catastrophic failure from start to finish. I am not complaining about a minor error; I am reporting multiple fundamental failures to provide the food I paid for. The issues with the two main meals were severe and objective: Chicken Wrap Inedible: I paid an extra £2.75 for Double Chicken, yet the wrap was delivered with virtually no meat. Furthermore, it was missing both the Monterey Jack Cheese and the Cheese Sauce. The wrap itself was delivered soggy, wet, and cold, making it physically inedible. Barbacoa Bowl Missing ALL Protein: The main course of the Barbacoa Bowl contained ZERO meat protein (no beef, no chicken). It was an incomplete, unacceptable bowl of rice and beans. Delivery Failure: The entire order was delivered late and arrived cold. The restaurant failed to provide multiple core, paid-for ingredients in both meals, which constitutes a failure to fulfill the order. Management must urgently address the severe lack of quality control in the kitchen to ensure customers receive the products they pay for. This experience was a total waste of money.
I do hope that this business takes this review as positive, constructive criticism and a learning curve, and will use it to progress and make their business better...
Read moreI just ordered from Tortilla Leicester via Uber Eats, relying on their chosen delivery partner to get my meal to me fresh. Unfortunately, this experience left me appalled.
My order was significantly delayed—by an additional 25 minutes beyond the original delivery time. After struggling with Uber’s notoriously poor customer support, I reached out directly to the restaurant, requesting they remake my food to ensure it arrived in good condition. To my surprise, the response was shockingly unaccommodating. I was informed that they would not remake the order, as it would “come out of their budget,” leaving them “out of pocket” for a delivery issue that was, by all accounts, not my fault.
I was left with cold food and a sense that Tortilla Leicester has no interest in taking responsibility for issues with their chosen delivery partner. As a customer, I shouldn’t be penalised for their logistical choices, yet I was offered no support or solution.
As someone who has frequented Tortilla in the past, this experience was deeply disappointing, and I will not be returning. There are plenty of establishments that value their customers and take ownership of the service they provide. I suggest finding one of...
Read moreThis is the best thing to happen and best place to eat in Leicester in my opinion. I always get a burrito and it’s always really nice. Nachos queso is also nice. The food always tastes great, has a good portion size and definitely fills you up. Service is always pretty good. Some staff do need a bit more practice when it comes to making the burritos though as I’ve had some that haven’t been wrapped very well and start to fall apart. Overall the place is great
(This part is purely based on ordering delivery)
Unfortunately ordering from Uber eats isn’t very good. I’ve ordered a few times now and each time the delivery person has been on a bicycle and by the time they’ve arrived the food is cold. Biking from the city centre to where I live takes too long and is too far. Someone with a car needs to do deliveries if it’s out of the centre. The most recent order- 23rd September, was the coldest yet. By the time it arrived there was no warmth left.
In future I will just wait and actually go there if I...
