First time visitors to Bob's Barista and immediately loved the vibe of this little cafe! It's got familiar mid century modern elements, but feels more homegrown and much more friendly than many other cafes I've been to. We were really taken back by the prices, being that they were much cheaper than anticipating, but had always been hoping for in the spirit of finding a new local cafe that wouldn't cost an arm & a leg to eat at! We were having one of those on-a-whim adventures looking for a place nearby that could serve us both coffee and cake, and this spot hit both of those needs and some! Iced coffees and cake for my friend & I, while my child enjoyed a fresh mixed berry smoothie. Service from the lovely server was attentive, prompt, and friendly - absolutely no issues whatsoever in our time dining in. We just were having a chat while we ate, then took a gander around at all the lovely works of art & creativity from the local artists who are selling various items in the cafe. What a darling wee spot tucked right on out front across the church, perfect for quiet time or a comfortable catch up with a friend. My child is 6+ years old and was comfortable with our seats on the couch (but it would be a tighter squeeze if you, say, had a baby in a buggy)! We absolutely, fully intend on being returning customers of Bob's, we're very interested in trying out foods for both breakfast and lunch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI havenāt visited this part of Hull in ages so it was a lovely surprise to find Bobs Barista and Cafe. It has great street presence with plants outside, some pavement seating and huge windows showcasing the vibrant interior. Inside was a real feast for the eyes with beautiful seating, tree slice table tops and colourful cushions, not to mention framed photos, artwork and gifts for sale. Thereās a lovely welcoming vibe to the place; I love the fact that the owner knows customers by name and there is a real sense of community. I opted for an Americano with oat milk and a piece of flapjack-youāll see from the photos that the owner believes in proper āYorkshire portionsā as my flapjack was enormous (and delicious!). All the cakes are homemade; you will be spoilt for choice. In addition to the cafe services there other activities such as crochet workshops and a book club. Definitely on my list to revisit! Highly...
